what happens if I make reservations and cancel my stay?

WE just moved our Sept trip to December (boo). We are planning on arriving Dec 3 and staying one night at BC before starting our 9 day trip at the poly. I am going to book all of our dining reservations from 180+10 from dec 3 reservation. If something happens and we decide to not do the one night at the beach club, can we still keep our dining reservations? or are they linked to that one night stay in some way?
