Hi Gang

My DW and I were discussing what it would be like to spend next Christmas at Disney. I was curious what actually happens at the resorts Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Does anything special happen? Do the kids get involved with special things and with Santa? I imagine it's pretty amazing given it's Disney but I'd like to know what actually goes on.

Thanks
Andy

At CBR they have a little party on Christmas Eve with Santa. Christmas day they don't do anything. They had put a stocking on your door, not sure if they do that anymore.

In the past trip to pofq on the day before they passed out cookies. In fact they also passed out cookies at the Allstar Music. If you go to the Grand Floridian they usual have some entertainment.

When we stayed at the Beach Club, Santa was at the Yacht Club Lobby on Christmas eve. Not much else. At many numerous times at the Wilderness Lodge on Christmas eve, the Lobby was always full of people with the entertainment happenings. Santa was at the corner by the elevators and throughout the lobby the entertainment varied over the years. They have had Victorian singers, a Dixie band, a brass band, a country and Western guitar trio and characters were always roaming the lobby. Comnbine that with all the holiday decor and it made for a very special Christmas Eve. This would usually start at 6 and end between 9 and 10PM. We would always partake in the festivities at the lodge form 6 till 8 and then take the boat to the MK. It would usually be open till 10 or 11PM. Very Magical. Also if your children are under 12 they put Stockings on the door handle of your room. They are filled with candy. Nothing really happens on Christmas day

We were at the GF in 2005. We were presented with a beautiful tray of goodies on Christmas Eve night. Santa was in the lobby as were Mickey and Minnie dressed in their Christmas finery. They were roasting chestnuts outside and there was beautiful Christmas music.

Christmas Day there may have been some activities, but we did not participate in them, and I don't recall there being anything I just had to do.

Before we headed to the GF we had booked a few days at the Dolphin. They had cookie decorating, Santa and his elves and "reindeer games". I believe they also offered an "elf tuck-in and story" on Christmas Eve, but we had already gone to the GF, so again, couldn't tell you how it was. I do know there was a fee for the elf tuck-in.

Hope that helps!

Cornado Springs had a golf cart decorated parade... very neat and those employees have great ideas! It was an employee contest going on.. and all the guest had to vote whose was the BEST... very neat!
