Awww last year we got to watch the barges come out. It was really interesting and I enjoyed it! Pretty cool to see the bridge up!
Lovely pictures around the World Showcase, ahh I could look at those all day. Love it there.
CUTE!
Great photopass pics!!
I'm glad I got to see the globe and barges come out but there were SO MANY BARGES! I don't do the standing still thing very well, and to be stuck there in the blazing heat started to get old.
I had a nice time strolling the showcase and taking pictures.
Thanks for the kind words about the photo pass pix.
Wow, in all my travels though World Showcase, I have only seen the globe come out once. It really is cool to see.
"This is not the Leaning Tower of Pisa. It must be the Leaning Photographer of the Beach Club."

Nice. It's artsy because it's tilted.
I agree, that is a beautiful spot in Japan. World Showcase is just fabulous.
"Posted this one because it features one of Lisa's backsacks" And also it's A HUG FROM MICKEY!!! And also a hug from the boss, aka Minnie.
Wonder if the globe comes out at the same time every day. This was right around 3 pm.
I love everything about the World Showcase. The scenery. The food. The drink. The entertainment. I don't get to spend as much time there as I would like, especially on family trips, so I enjoyed my solo excursion.
Oh, right. Hug from Mickey!

Ach Dee I am sitting here of a saturday night ( teenager in other room because God forbid you be in the same room as your mother on a saturday night, other half in bed feeling buggy

and 7yr old sleeping) and I thoroughly enjoyed our stroll through the world. Love the photos and think it shows that 1) you are getting time to take photos and 2) you are a whizz with a camera no matter which one you use (big girl camera shots are very cool). Love the photo showing the backsack because your smile just says it all
Glad you could spend your solo Saturday night with my solo stroll.
My style for taking photos with the family is definitely suited to the point & shoot- I don't have time to stop like I need to for the shots with the DSLR.
Meeting the characters was fun!
Very nice pictures. I never remember to look for that hidden "thing" in Morocco. I hope someone comes along who knows where it is because I'd like to finally see it.
Thanks!
Well, you shouldn't be taking directions from me, since "I still haven't found...what I'm lookin' for"
But I think MEK said it is towards the back of the pavilion and you have to look toward the front.
Good luck on your scavenger hunt.
First of all, I so sorry about Schooner and ow, poor DH falling like that. Very glad to hear it ended up just being sore and not more serious.
I can't believe you've not seen the barges coming in and out before. We must be there at the right time of day repeatedly, maybe it's happy hour lol, but I swear we see it every trip.
Dee, I'm a bit sad, you've never been to the store at the YC or Captains Grille? I get your BC loyalty but seriously you are missing out.
SAB synchronized what???? Tube team????
Thanks for the kind words.
I think the reason I haven't seen the barges come out before is that we don't spend much time in the WS when we are with the boys.
To clarify- I have been to Captain's Grille, many times (once for breakfast, once for lunch and 3 times for dinner), but never to Yachtsman. I have not been to Fittings & Fairings gift shop in the YC, in fact I'm not sure I have been past the globe in the lobby. Not a matter of loyalty- just time. Plus I am not a shopper. I dislike shopping at home, and we never really do much souvenir shopping on vacation.
The real shame, of course, is that I (still) have not had a ice cream or a meal, other than breakfast, at Beaches & Cream. THAT is the dirty little not-so-secret.
Ah, the ill-fated SAB Synchronized Pool Tube Team.
We had team shirts made before our trip, and obviously, you have missed reading about our practice session.
Warning! These images can not bee unseen!
No Neater Greeter and Stormalong Bay Synchronized Pool Tube Team
Dee....finally able to get on the DISboards after being back a week from our
DCL/WDW trip. Just a quick note to say, as usual, I am enjoying your TR and the pics. I'll have to start my TR one day soon. Maybe I'll be able to keep current after I get caught up at work. Looking forward to more.
Thank you!
I look forward to reading about your most recent trip and I remain grateful for the pictures you provided to me.
Dee, really enjoyed the stroll around the world. Question, is the "behind the seeds" tour something you can just walk up and sign up for? I thought it was one of those that needed an advance reservation.
Katesdad
I got the impression that Behind the Seeds is a much more casual tour than some of the other ones. When I was having lunch at Sunshine Seasons, I went over to check out the times listed and it seemed like I would be able to join in if there was room on the tour.
