what happens after you get word that you‘re officially closed?

We sent our closing docs & check last thurs, & i know once we are told we're closed that it takes up to 2 wks for pts to be loaded, but what happens after that? When can i expect member cards? My sister has owned in the dvc but direct for a few yrs so I knew a little b4 we purchased but will we get a book with resorts & points & room layouts at all? What can I expect?

There is no set time.

The closing company has to do there thing and they may not be in a hurry now that they have your money. They need to send paperwork to Disney and the County. Disney checks everything again, builds your member account, then loads the points. Mails you your account info and login info. Mails your your member ID cards.

If anyone drops the ball, things can take longer than expected.

Two weeks after closing, I received a letter in the mail from Disney with my membership ID number. I read that others received an email with an online activation code, but I never got an email with this information. After getting my membership ID number, I called Member Services to get my online activation code and club ID number. I was then able to access my online account, and my points were already loaded. I have read that others had to wait longer for their points to load in their accounts.
