What happened to VWL electrical boat parade?

It is a ritual with us to watch the electrical boat parade in front of Wilderness Lodge every night that we are there. We have memorized all the characters and their music. On our trip this past week the parade was missing at least half of the characters including the chomping gator and King Neptune. There was only one string of barges rather than two. Does anyone know if this is a permanent change?

I have read several times that a large number of the boats for this were damaged by the hurricanes. From whapeople posted, it was a few days after the hurricanes that they were even able to get the few boats that you saw ready to go.

I know it was so disappointing! I can't believe they haven't bothered to fix them yet, that stinks.
