What happened to Universal 360?

I went sometime late summer/early fall in '06 and saw the show for the first time. I thought it was a pretty nice display (depending on your viewing location). I recently went back with some family and was disheartened to find out that it was under refurbishment. At first I was like "already?". I was kinda dissapointed since I kind of hyped it up to my family. Anyone know what happened to it? Is it coming back?
