it has turned in andrew zimmer, man vs food, samatha brown and anthony bordon show ... it is becoming more like the food network .... i want my travel channel back

I know what ya mean. It seems like every time I tune in, they're either showing some guy eating something disgusting or a bunch of guys playing poker. POKER? :confused3

It's pretty bad now. I have no desire to watch people eat either obscene amounts of food or disgusting food.

Yea, I don't care for too much either anymore...The last good show I watched on it, (besides the Disney shows.:lovestruc), was Dr. Mike and they took that one off.

I watched Man vs. Food a couple of times and it is just gross to me.

I hate that Poker Tournament show! What does it have to do with travel anyhow?

I love man v food! Maybe it SHOULD be on food network though.... then again, half of the food network stars are going over to HGTV.....

I can't stand the shows about eating insane amounts of food, sooooo gross. I do like Anthoney Bourdaine though.

I also missing the travel portion - I have not turned to that channel in a while for the same reason - they are always showing some food program.

Cause it's the World Poker Tour I guess...They spend about 2 minutes per episode on whatever casino they are in.

I've been home and in isolation from radiation the last few days and I have decided I can't BELIEVE how little is on
TV.

I don't get why so much of it is about food either. Samantha Brown's shows are of course about travel. I like Bourdain's show but then you do get to see a lot of wherever he is. I also accept the ghosthunter show being on there because there is apparently a whole industry built around people who travel to haunted places. But eating nasty food or too much of it? And Poker????

I miss actually travel part of the travel channel.. It should now know as food network 2

I agree with all mentioned except Samantha Brown. She travels and give her opinion on hotels and different travel sites.

What is the problem with that on a Travel Channel?:confused3

The only thing we watch on there is World Poker Tour (not that I think it belongs on travel channel but we enjoy poker). Anything they ever show that is travel related is usually years old and I've seen it before.

I never see Samantha Brown, just Anthoney Bourdaine.

I think the Travel Channel goes on hiatus during regular tv season. There are more shows on, in early spring summer, when reruns are on.
