What happened to my Summer, feels like Fall this morning

I'm loving the cooler weather. Turned off the AC and opened all the windows for the last 3 days.

The weather is glorious here! It's in the mid-70s with low humidity and plenty of sunshine.

We've had a horrible summer so far this year in Massachusetts. I'm hoping August will turn around and we will start to see an actual summer. I've all but given up hope on my vegetable garden this year...it's hopeless!

Didn't you get the memo? I don't know where you are, but summer has been cancelled in upstate NY - and replaced by 3 months of April showers.. By mid-August, I'm fully expecting snow..

My worst fear is that winter will arrive early and I'll have to scoot out of here before my November target date..

I hear you OP. Our summer has been strange as well. We had one week of very hot temps but yesterday morning it was 5C (41F). I wanted to turn the furnace on, but resisted on principle. It feels like Fall, quite cool in the evenings and mornings and hot in the afternoons.

I guess now we know why they started calling it 'climate change' rather than 'global warming'
