I was waiting to see all of the Disney cars at the Daytona 500, and there
was no mention or sighting of them, or even a Mention of Disney.
What happened???????:wave2:

I don't know about the race, but I got a cute disney Daytona 500 T-shirt at the Disney Store for 75% off. :D

My best guess is two-fold.

1) Race was shown on NBC which is direct competition with ABC which is owned by Disney.

2) Networks are famous for not showing things that the sponsors haven't paid extra money for. Ever notice that sometimes a race is called by a very generic name - it has a sponsor but if that sponsor doesn't pony up extra money to the network they will act like it doesn't exist.

It's a shame really - we were looking forward to the blend of our two favorite things (Nascar & Disney).

I was watching the race and noticed the exact same thing....I kept thinking to myself, "what happened to Disney." I was so disappointed that I didnt get to see the Disney pace car and I was sad that my driver didn't make it to the top 5!!!

I was so looking forward to seeing the Mickey and Minnie pace cars. But all we got to see was "mr. bennifer-has been" driving.

Of course the ending to the race kinda made up for it :cool1: :jumping3: :jumping4: :cool1:

I never knew there were Disney pace cars at Daytona. I need to get out more, huh?

That was my guess too. I was very disappointed. I wanted to see Minnie Mouse in Victory lane kissing Dale JR ;)

They were supposed to be featured in the parade laps before the race. Of course they were ever so conveniently out of the view of any camera owned by NBC.
