What groceries would you have delivered to a value?

We will be staying at All Star Movies. I understand there are refrigerators in the rooms. We are getting DDP, but I was thinking of having some general snacks, breakfast items, beer and wine delivered. Good idea or waste of money? DH likes to have a beer at night at home.

What types of things do you have delivered and by whom?

Off the top of my head, I remember we ordered Goober (pb&j in a jar), bread, bananas, case of water and gatorade, mini-bagels and cream cheese, pretzels (and more, just can't recall). I thought eating breakfast in the room (or on the way to the bus) was a great time-saver. Bringing sandwiches, drinks and snacks into the parks was a time and money-saver because we all don't eat on the same schedule. I will defintely do it again, if and when I get back to WDW.
We used WeGoShop and we were very happy with the service.
We have not done the DDP but for us, that would be a lot of food on top of ordering.
It all depends on your eating style, I think.

Get stuff delivered that you like to eat

Seems like you wouldn't need too many groceries if you're on the dining plan. Which dining plan are you getting - quick service, regular or deluxe?

If it's the regular dining plan, you'd get one TS, one CS,, and one snack per day. Would you eat breakfast in your room, then use your credits for lunch and dinner? If so, then get some breakfast things for your room (cereal, fruit, milk, etc.). Since you already get one snack per day on the dining plan, I wouldn't buy snacks from the grocery store - just beer and wine, as you mention in your original post.

I've never used the dining plan, but from the posts I've read, people always seem to mention that there's way more food than they can eat. So chances are you won't need much food in the room. For us, even without the dining plan, we always buy too much food from the grocery store and end up throwing lots of stuff away at the end of the trip. We don't spend much time in the room, and always overbuy snacks - we're never there to eat them!

We bought plenty of water and drinks from garden grocer. Also bought cereal and milk so we could have breakfast in the room. We had no car so it helped to have it delivered to the room.
We also had the dining plan and it meant that we could use the snack credits for treats for the kids throughout the day.

When I do a grocery order I like to get spray sunscreen so I don't have to worry about it in my luggage. I also get a small bottle of pump hand soap.

We just used wegoshop for the first time three weeks ago for our groceries, and we were extremely pleased - would definitely recommend them. She will shop at any of the stores you are familiar with, like Publix or Walmart supercenter. We got groceries, beer, and personal care items (cheap shampoo/conditioner, body wash), even air freshener spray for the bathroom (which I don't like to pack in a suitcase). We were in a villa with a full kitchen, but if I was just doing breakfast and snacks, just order whatever you think you might need. We love packing granola bars/cereal bars and fruit snacks to take to the parks to save money between meals. If you get refillable mugs, you won't need pop or coffee/tea for the room, but water bottles are a must.

I was there 3 years ago and we did not have a refrigerator...is this something new? Awesome if it is!!

It was wonderful to have my chilled wine of choice waiting in the room after a long day in the park. Just kick back with a glass, watch loops of Stacey and talk about the fun had that day.

Just got back from All Stars Music Resort and they had refrigerators! I didn't remember them being there last year though so they must be new or I just missed them that time!
:)

Has anyone on here ordered water and snacks from Walmart online and had it delivered the week of arrival? Shipping would be cheaper than garden groc delivery.

I plan on ordering a case of water, goldfish snacks, cereal (in single plastic bowls) and spray sunscreen. Last time we ordered waaaaay too much but just gave it to a family on our way to check out

interested in doing this as well...

I am planning to order from Garden Grocer. Just going to get some snacks that would otherwise likely get crushed in my luggage (goldfish, pretzels, crackers, etc.). Also going to have bread and a jar of Goober delivered so we can take sandwiches in for my 2yo. And then yogurt and cheese sticks. Depending if my little guy is potty trained, I might have diapers delivered to save luggage space.
