I have one major veggie loaded one that I make but today just made a quick tomato/mozz/basil/red onion one. And then topped with Kens Light Balsamic- Pretty tastey for such an easy one!

So what do you put in your pasta salad.

I've been making this for 4th of July for 3 years now. Nothing fancy or special, but the family loves it!

Corkscrew pasta, 1 jar of the giardini pickeled vegetables (drained), black olives, grape tomatoes, cucumber, chick peas, occasionally some feta cheese, thinly sliced red and yellow peppers, occasionally we will put pepperoni on our own individual plates. I dress it with Paul Newman's light Italian dressing. Yum!

I made my favorite summer recipe over the weekend. It has chopped cucumbers, green pepper, pimento as well as some oil, vinegar, sugar, garlic powder, parsley, salt and pepper. It's so yummy!

Mine is always requested for family get-togethers:

1 lb. any kind of pasta
1 or 2 cukes
2 tomatoes
2 bunches green onions
2 stalks celery
1 lb. fresh mushrooms
1 can of black olives

1 bottle of Salad Supreme
1 large bottle of your favorite Italian dressing (I prefer the zesty kind)

Now you're making me hungry! I think I'll have to make some!

What is Salad Supreme?

ETA: Just looked at your siggie - I have a goldendoodle too! His name is Winston!

Wow, I just ate lunch and now I'm hungry for pasta salad! I don't like tomatoes so I substitute red pepper.
1 package tri-colored pasta (I like to use different shapes but the spiral holds the dressing best)
1 green pepper
1 red pepper
1 can black olives
Mayo and olive oil as the dressing (I like it creamy so I only use a little oil)
Salt and pepper to taste
Parsley to taste
For a mild finish I'll either add homemade mozarella or for a little more flavor, shredded parmasan.

It's a mix made by McCormick. I use it, too... but not an entire bottle.

I just made some for my DSs birthday party and did this:

1 lb penne pasta
1 cucumber
1 green pepper
1 orange pepper (I usually use red but they looked like crap)
1 red onion
1 tomato
2 tbsp Salad Supreme
3/4 bottle of Kraft Roasted Red Pepper and Parmesean Italian dressing/marinade.

Several people asked for the recipe... :goodvibes

What is Salad Supreme? See post below. I love it on regular salad too.

OT: Aren't golden doodles just the greatest?! Cindy is the best dog!

I just do a basic, pasta/ranchdressing/salt/pepper/garlicpowder/parmasean salad, then we add in stuff as we want it.

Too many people with too many food issues (mine included) to add in before hand.

I use the Salad Supreme recipe, Corkscrew pasta, italian dressing, salad supreme seasoning, grape tomatoes, broccolli, carrots and red onion.

Tri-color spiral pasta
Italian dressing
Black olives - sliced
Pepperoni - quartered
Cheddar cheese cubes

I use about 3/4 of the bottle of italian dressing and let it sit overnight to soak up the dressing, then pour on the other 1/4 of the bottle right before serving. ... and now I might have to make some tonight, because it sounds delicious.

Tri colored pasta
artichoke hearts
feta
sundried tomatoes
greek dressing
green pepper
kalmata olives

these all sound great! mine usually contains:
corkscrew pasta
broccoli florets
chopped sundried tomatoes
toasted pine nuts
pesto
sometimes I add shredded rotissere chicken

I got the following recipe from a box of Red Cross pasta (I think that they went out of business) and it is so good that my family says that it is like eating "crack". This stuff is addictive.

Garden Spiral Primavera

Ingredients:

16 oz. Package Garden Spiral Pasta, 2 medium zucchini, sliced & quartered,
¼ cup olive oil, 3 carrots, cut into thin strips,
½ cup butter, 1/3 cup white wine,
1 medium onion, thinly sliced , 1 tsp. basil and parsley flakes,
2 cloves garlic, minced, salt and pepper to taste,
½ lb. mushrooms, sliced, ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese,
Broccoli flowerets, 3 cups,

(I usually add larger quantities of the vegetables)

Cook Garden Spirals according to package directions. In a large skillet heat the olive oil and butter, add the onion and garlic and cook 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently. Add broccoli, zucchini, carrots and mushrooms, cook 3 more minutes stirring frequently. Add wine, basil, parsley, salt and pepper. Simmer 5 minutes until vegetables are tender. Toss the cooked Garden Spirals with the vegetable sauce and Parmesan cheese. Serves 8-10.

Mine is super plain and simple

Garden Vegetable Rigatoni
Ranch Dressing
Bacon Bits/Pieces
Black Olives

Yummy.....

My sister always uses penne pasta and tosses it with halved cherry tomatoes, red peppers, scallions, some lemon juice, a bit of mustard and feta cheese. YUM!

This is going to sound awful, but I usually buy the box of Suddenly Salad! :lmao: I add tomato and sliced olives.

I don't really like pasta salad leftover, so one box is enough for my family of four. I usually buy it on sale and when I have a coupon, so I can get it for as little as 50c a box. It's cheap enough, and I can keep it on hand for when we want a simple side dish!

I do:

-orange bell pepper
-broccoli florets
-cherry tomato halves
-red onion
-colby/jack cheese crumbles
-pepperoni
-mini farfalle
-italian salad dressing

My kids call it "Rainbow Salad" cause it covers the spectrum pretty well. Gotta figure out something blue to put in it, though...

Elbow macaroni
Small cube pieces of cheddar cheese
Red and green pepper
Red onion
1/2 sour cream, 1/2 mayo
salt and pepper
Shrimp cut into small pieces
Green peas
