You are in charge of designing a new Disney resort. What features would you put in your resort? Would it be a value, mod, deluxe?

Looking forward to the answers.

Deluxe resort in the Magic Kingdom area, Asian themed, amazingly detailed pool (indoor and outdoor), ginormous food court (similar to Mara), upscale and moderate restaurants, all rooms accomodating up to 6 people.

Duvets??????? How about value rooms at a value price that can sleep 5 people.

Queen beds and fridges in all rooms! We stayed one night at a cruddy Econolodge and it had sauna, hot tub and work out room. The guest rooms had queen beds, fridges and microwaves.

But..if we're talking about designing a resort, I think a medieval theme could be fun. This could be tied in with Robin Hood, The Hunchback of Notre Dam, Sword and the Stone, The Beastly Kingdom (if it ever comes to be) and even with princes and princesses.

I'd stay there...if it had queen beds, lol! :rotfl:

I would make the rooms and resorts nicer over all. True deluxe resorts have come a long way in what is offered and Disney is a bit behind.

Better mattresses, bedding and ammenities in the rooms (fridge, coffeemaker, great soaps, etc).

Free wireless internet is a must (and the way most true deluxe resorts seem to be heading for the future).

All resorts (including value) should have at least one hot tub.

Larger rooms, and yes rooms that can fit larger families at all resorts (not suites).

Frequent guest rewards program (not a credit card), so that guests may earn free nights.

I would like pay for view movies in all rooms. I'm not a pleasure island person, I'd like to curl up in bed and watch a movie.

If I were designing a resort I'd make it Peter Pan themed. You could have pirates and mermaids and I think it would be pretty. The check in area could be London, and the buildings or wings the different areas of neverland.

Or Alice in wonderland, from the check out area you could "fall down the rabbit hole" to the guest areas/

going WAY out there...

moving sidewalks :rotfl2: Who wouldn't pay extra for those?

and bidets. gotta love a bidet. ;)

My resort would be like you were staying in mickey's house in toon town. With cartoonish furniture, knick-knacks on the tables (that you couldn't move, like mickey's house). Also with little buttons everywhere the kids would push to make large portriats talk, or statues move a little, etc. Fab 5 characters everywhere, and also every disney character that was ever created somewhere in the resort. Then you'd have a 'character hunt' instead of a hidden mickey hunt. If it could be, I'd put it next to the magic kingdom (I don't know if there's land anywhere around the magic kingdom for another resort), so you could walk, and maybe also have a really cute train for transportation or a moving sidewalk-type-thingie if needed. Can't think of a name for it yet. (mickey's village or something like that, but I don't like that name really)

Deluxe, Definitely Deluxe.

It would be able to sleep five. Large Bathroom with a large vanity to hold all my girlie stuff. Seriously thick bath sheets and the ability to control the room temperature yourself.
