I need variety to keep me interested and coming back to the gym. I just started my fitness routine the last week of February and at last check (beginning of the month) I have lost 16 inches off my body...7 inches off my waist alone and 10 lbs.
I'd like the weight loss to be higher, but I'm pretty sure this has more to do with my eating rather than my exercise. Here's my program.
Workout at least 5 days a week at local gym
Monday - 1 hour low impact aerobic class and 30 minutes of weight training
Tuesday - 1 hour Deep water pool class
Wednesday - 1 hour weight lifting group fitness class
Thursday - 1 hour Deep water pool class
Friday - 1 Hour Hip-Hop/Dance Aerobic Class and 30 minutes of weight training
Sat - sometimes if possible I take 2 back to back aerobics classes
I will say for me, another big motivator for me has been making new friends at my gym to work out with. It's been great to share weight loss/exercise issues and we make plans to work out together.
