What excursions should I not miss on Western Cruise?

My DH and DD 10 and DD 8 and I are going on the double CC trip to the Western Islands....Costa Mya and Cozumel. We know what we want to do on our two days at CC but we wanted to know what is not to miss as far as the excursions for Costa Mya and Cozumel.

We heard the sting rays in Grand Cayman's is amazing is there anything like that really good in Costa Mya or Cozumel.

We absolutely loved the jeep off-roading in Cozumel! The fresh soft tacos with meat cooked over an open fire, off-roading on sandy roads with bushes attacking from both sides, the beautiful view over the ocean - it was fantastic and worth every penny!

My girls were right in between the ages of your DD's -- they were 9 when we cruiseed. We did the Dolphin Encounter (through Disney) in Cozumel and it was one of the highlights of the trip. They were the perfect age for it.

If you plan to do it, call as soon as possible to book the excursion and get a time around noon or one o'clock. Our time was 2pm -- which meant we had to meet on the ship at 2pm, but didn't get in the water with the dolphins until closer to 3:30. And we had to rush to get back to the ship because we wanted to see the showing of The Pacifier at 5:45. With the earlier time slots, you can stay and hang around at Chanakab park and return at your leisure. The park was beautiful, and the girls would have loved to stay and swim and snorkel and explore.

Enjoy your trip! We're hoping they continue the double CC itinerary in 2007!

I believe it is an all day thing about 6 hours or so. Mrsfuzzmo went on it and reported back and gave us the idea. I have not gone yet, but plan to when we get there.
