What exactly is Dis Con?

I feel really dense about this.

I understand that it's an opportunity to meet with fellow Disney enthusiasts, but what happens there?

What is registration for? Are there lectures like a convention would have?

Please help!

Since this will be my first Dis-con---I'm not sure what to expect.......except from what I read loads of fun. I understand there are planned activites, dis meets, Disney "friends" just enjoying the WDW moment. "Friends" get together and have afternoon tea at GF, they ride TOT as many times in a row as possible, they plan group meals---where ther are other characters besides the ones dressed in costume. If you have a monent read ta few of the posts----this group sounds like they enjoy each other and WDW. I'm so excited to be able to attend and finally put faces with some of the names from this board. Oh, by the way I live in Longview, Wa

We'll be at WDW while DIS Con is going on, but can;t ditch the folks who will be with us.

I hope it's a success so we can shoot for making it in 2003!
