What exactly do you put on the label to send package to the resort

Hi all!!
I am going to ship a package to VWL full of baby stuff and halloween costumes and such and was wondering:
1. when should I send it? i was going to do UPS
2. what exactly do I put on the shipping label?


any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated...

You should call hotel and it will provide info. Usually, and I have not actually done it with DVC resorts but have done it with hotels for many business trips, you send it to yourself c/o the hotel (and its address) and I usually send it so it arrives the day I do.

I always ship a package....I send it a week before in case of delays.
They will hold it with no problem.

There is no separate address for the villas.

I send a box down regularly when traveling. In addition to the above, I always write my arrival date and reservation confirmation number on the outside of the box. I also pack a pre-paid return address label inside the box to ship things back. The box will be held for you until your arrival. Ask when checking in and it will be delivered with your luggage. When leaving, we send the box with our luggage to bell services with the instructions to give to the UPS driver. We haven't had a problem yet and will be packing/shipping a box for our December trip.

Mail the package about a week ahead. You want the package to arrive a day or two before you do. That way the package(s) don't sit there for days and days and may end up getting lost.

I just mailed 4 boxes of stuff (for 2 families) to the VWL on Friday.

thanks for the help...what kinds of things do you ship? I am planning sending
diapers and wipes
halloween costumes
glow sticks/necklaces
antibacterial wipes
lysol spray for the room
maybe some cereal for breakfasts and some other snacks (we are doing the
DDP so i don't think we will need much)

I don't know what else to pack in the box...

Beach towels to wrap my booze in

I always ship UPS....never a problem....It costs me around 20 bucks...
It is fully loaded however.

Shipping charges are by weight and distance traveled. I live in Ohio. My box usually weighs between 20 and 25 pounds and cost between $12 and $15.00 to ship UPS. I pack big bulky soft and cushy Mickey robes , snacks, coffee/filters, cell phone charger, various sizes zip lock bags, big black marker, packing tape and a return address label to mail things back.

Thanks for the shipping cost info. Next year will be our first trip home and I've been thinking about shippinhg some items versus having them delivered to our room. I just think I can get things on sale and stock up before we go and ship it cheaper the the cost of the items to have them be delivered.
