Does Disney give a list of what it considers "snacks?"

Has anyone returned and used the Dining Option? What was allowed as snacks?

How about food from the bakery? What about the cookies with the ice cream in the middle?

What about slushes, etc.? Thanks! :D

on the disney website it lists...ice cream from the vendor carts (i.e. Mickey Bars)....popcorn.....a medium fountain drink or bottle of pop or water.....Wow I answered it first!!!

go me :cheer2:

rwade428 - does that mean you can get an ice cream and a bottle of water or one or the other? If it's one or the other, that's not much of a snack.

I think when you put it all together with the counter service meal and the sit down meal, it's a great deal. My sisters and I opted for it for our upcoming trip. It's also that much less cash to carry around or less you're putting on the charge card.

I agree that it can be a super saver if you order right. We usually carry water with us anyway.

I was thinking about about getting the DDE for our next trip. After looking at the number that will cost us way more than the dining plan.

So for now, I'm back to booking a package and adding on the dining plan.

I wish the would place a dollar amount on the snack option. Maybe $3.00 or $4.00. That way you're free to purchase any snack within that price range.

I agree about placing a dollar amount, at least on the snacks. Then, you could at least pay the difference if you wanted to apply your snack "allowance" on a luscious ice cream treat (not the Mickey ice cream, although I love that, too.).

Snacks issue, cont.
For example, would any of these be considered "snacks?" If so, which ones? (These are from the Main Street Bakery and Ice Cream Shop)

the Main Street Bakery and Ice Cream Shoppe are not included on the list for snacks in the meal plan.....

The ONLY snacks that are approved on the dining plan are:

Mickey ice cream bar OR
Small box of popcorn OR
24 oz. bottled water OR
20 oz. bottled soda OR
Medium fountain soda

That's it.

BUT the thing to remember is that you are entitled to dessert with EVERY counter service meal. So choose your counter service wisely!

Sorry, guys, but now I am really confused.

I went and looked at the Disney website where it lists, in columns, the names of food places in each category....Quick Service......Snack locations....Table Service....Signature Rest.

The Main Street Bakery is listed under Quick Service AND Snack Location...so, what does that mean? ::MickeyMo

If a place sells bottled water, Bottled Soda or Fountain Soda, they qualify as a snack location.
