It's been 9 years since our last Disney trip. Through friends who have gone and the newspaper's travel section I've kept abreast of most of the changes to the parks and resorts. Just one thing seems to have vanished, The "Disney Inn". Where did it go? Was it demolished or refurbished for a new purpose?

The Disney Inn is now Shades of Green. It was purchased by the Department of Defense for use by military, retirees and DOD employees.

The Disney Inn is now called "Shades of Green" and is the military or DoD only hotel on property.
Right now it is in the process of getting renovated (they're doubling the total rooms available) and will be re-opening for business in mid-December.
It's a wonderful resort for those of us who wouldn't be able to afford to stay "on property" without the price break that is offered to active duty and retired military members and their families.

Enjoy planning your next trip!!

I thought SOG looked like it was in the general location of the old Disney Inn. Thanks for the replies!
