This week HAS to be better than the last week or so.
DH had to go into hospital for an operation, everything went well but he's now off work for a few weeks.
He needs physiotherapy and driving back from our 50 mile round trip for it last week (he can't drive), an old boy slammed his car into the side of me.
I'd pulled something in my back the week before, so wasn't in a good shape to begin with
Sadly, we have a lot of these 'little accidents' around here since the average age is, well, a lot older than us. I ended up feeling sorry for the old boy, even though it was the classic 'putting the car into forward gear instead of reverse'
Poor Darryl got a bump and he was all strapped up following his operation, so why did I end up feeling sorry for the old boy . . .
So if that wasn't enough, on Saturday we had to have our beloved cat Georgie put to sleep. Breaking my heart, but she had to go, kidney failure was setting in and there was no way she was going to suffer. I keep seeing her face, glaring at me in the vets
before the injection went in.
I know to some people she was "only a cat", but we'd had her for 16 years and she was part of our family. We lost her brother Charlie at Easter so poor Felix, our little cat is feeling really lost. He just won't leave our sides at the moment.
Please can someone tell me this week is going to be better . . .
