What else should I bring in the park if I have a Magic Band?

Another last minute question!
If everyone in my party has a Magic Band, what else do you recommend that we bring in the parks as far as ID, money, etc? I just read another thread where someone said they liked being able to leave their wallet in the safe because they had a MB.

But what about your ID? If you are an adult and want a beer with dinner, don't you need ID?

I like to have a back up plan so I'm sure I will at least have one credit card with me. I thought when MB were first introduced, the charging mechanism would sometimes fail at some restaurants or shops, not sure how frequently that happens anymore. And are there things I will need some cash for?

Related, in a way : How can I pay for a taxi at WDW? I'm sure I can't use my MB in a taxi!

I usually bring a little bit of cash, a credit card, and my ID. The Mears taxis actually take credit cards!

As an adult, I would have ID on me (whether I was drinking or not).

Taxis take cash or CC.

And I would never rely on the magic band performing correctly 100% of the time. Always have a CC or cash as a backup.

I always have ID with me. I also bring my DVC member card as well as my AP discount card and some cash. I usually just carry them in my pocket...with my tissues, chapstick, phone, etc.

I would think ID's and CC or cash. What will you do if there is a medical issue with someone in you group? I've seen it happen in the parks and restaurants.

ID in case you get separated from your party and have an emergency; a bit of cash; a CC or DB; and anything that would make your day more comfortable - i.e., I carry small containers of baby powder for my sneakers and a dry pair of socks (in case my feet get wet) since I have an issue with my feet.

Any medications that you may need or someone in your party would need; whether a prescription or something in case of an emergency, i.e. an EPIpen.

I agree that you should carry your ID with you at all times, drinking or not. I've only been IDed for a drink once while at WDW (I'm 28), but you'll want it in case your MB gets lost or if it malfunctions. I also agree that another form of payment is a good idea - there were a few times when we encountered registers that didn't work and ended up just paying OOP.

In addition to your ID, credit card and cash; I would carry your medical insurance card. It may sound stupid, but what if something happens?

Alternate form of payment like cash or a credit card, plus a picture ID, at the very least. If you have an AP you need your AP card to redeem discounts. I've also got sunglasses, some rain gear, maybe a water bottle, a camera, a phone, a charger for the phone, DVC card, TIW card, if I have checked out of my resort I am carrying my ipad, so even with magic bands I am carrying a bag.

a lot of taxis will take credit cards now.

If you're carded for booze and you don't have an ID to show, no booze for you.

I haven't been with MB yet but I agree with everyone that I plan to always have ID, Cash, CC & Medical card on me. In my view perk to the MB is that the cards can stay buried at the bottom of my park bag for the trip and I won't have to go digging for them all the time (because no matter what I do my wallet always ends up on the bottom of my bag). But I still want to have them with me for emergencies.

You should always have ID and a backup form of payment, on our first day of our recent trip something messed up and our PIN number got reset on accident (something in the computer hiccupped) and half way through the day we were unable to charge anything to our bands so I was glad I had my backup card to pay.

My DHs Magic band didn't get the green Mickey head to enter the park in the morning sometimes and he to show his ID.

We used our Magic Bands in June and still brought our ID's and one credit card into the parks. Didn't ever use them; we had no problems with our bands. But you never know what might happen - I'm a "better safe than sorry" girl. Like the Girl Scouts say "Be prepared."

I (or DH) take driver's license for ID, credit card, insurance card & a small amount of cash. We learned the hard way that sometimes the credit card doesn't get linked to your KTTW (twice!) & we ended up using our credit card one & borrowing $5 from a friend for water another time. That was embarassing!

Also keep in mind that some kiosks require cash only and don't take credit card. So we always carry an ID, credit card & a small amount of cash.

I always carry a credit card, my ID, my insurance card, my ticket to get in the park, and some cash. If I drive, I will have my AAA card and my car insurance card too since I don't like to leave that stuff in the car.

I've had issues with trying to pay with the magic band and it didn't work (at BOG dinner!), another time the whole system was down so I just paid for my snack with cash.

Basically the magic band doesn't stop me from carrying a wallet's worth of stuff. LOL

I also bring a small amount of cash (I've seen both a band reader go down and someone who had reached their charging limit and was denied purchase), ID, and one CC, usually a Disney Visa as you also can't get your DV discount without showing that actual card. While I had an active AP I also brought my card as you also cannot get your AP discount without showing the card.

Other than that I also bring my phone and a Chapstick. LOL I must be connected and I hate dry lips.
