I am helping my sister plan a trip-long weekend at MK but where else should they go. if you can give me your favorites it would be helpful It is a little girl and she is into the princesses. I am hoping they'll get a ressie to cinderella's breakfast. What else??? My sister is NOT into Disney and walking alot so keep that in mind-she thought they would just do MK but they will probably not go back again so i told her I'd ask some advice!!

While MK is still my 5 and 7 yr old dds favorite park, they absolutely love the shows at MGM: Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Fantasmic, Playhouse Disney (although my 7 yr old hates to admit that she likes a "baby" show...she always comes out smiling!), Muppets 3D, even Indiana Jones. If we had only two days (God forbid!! lol) to spend at WDW parks, we would choose MK and MGM.
For your sister who doesn't like a lot of walking, MGM is actually one of the smaller parks walking wise...everything very close together and not too far apart.
Hope this trip helps your sister enjoy Disney more...I have seen so many converts who swear they don't get it and then once they get there...they're asking when they can come back again!

I agree. My 5 y.o. loved both MGM and MK. He liked MK a little more only because there was more of it. Depending on the little girl's other interests (besides princesses), she may want to consider AK -- the Lion King show is amazing, and if the girl likes animals, the K.Safari attraction is not to be missed.

So funny
My 5yr old DD does not like MGM and loves Epcot. Test track, Mexico, Figment, Nemo at Living seas, ice station cool, baking cookies at the land. All of it. Especially the princess storybook breakfast at Norway.

I would say Epcot, too, but the World Showcase. If you buy the passport they sell (in any country) they can get it signed by the special CM the have in every country, and make the mask. Our kids loved going from one country to the next, to see what was coming. Now that they're older, they watch the movies and take in a little bit of the culture! Oh yeah, my DD9 just LOVES the ride in Mexico..

Here's DS's (age 7 1/2) "Do Not Miss" list:

MK:
Mickey's Philharmagic
Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin
Goofy's Barnstormer
Indy 500 Race Cars
Space Mountain
Big Thunder Mountain RR

MGM:
Star Tours
Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular
Muppet 3-D
Fantasmic

EPCOT:
Test Track

AK:
Kilimanjaro Safari
Lion King Show
It's Tough To Be A Bug
Dino Dig

In all honesty, we can get through AK in 2 hours b/c it's DS's least favorite. I have the toughest time pulling him out of Dino Dig. He says it's "boring". He's not a tremendous fan of EPCOT but does love getting a passport and having it signed and stamped. He also likes the mask decorating.

When you say they will be there a long weekend, how many days are they actually going to be for park time. If it is just two days of actual park time, I would just concentrate on the MK with a 6 year old. If they are doing the parks three or four days I would throw in another park or two depending on what the 6 year old is into. I think all the parks have something great to offer kids and my almost 4 year old has favorites in all of them. Since your sister is not a big walker I might choose MGM if the 6 year old likes to see shows since the park is smaller.

My now 7 yo dd listed mk first and MGM last. I can't remember the order of Epcot and AK, but they're favorites, too.

With a one time trip for a 6yo girl, do the princess storybook breakfast if you can't get Cinderella.

My dd loves doing the kidcot and passport at epcot every trip. At Epcot, she also loves Test Track and Mission Space. We've eaten at Coral Reef and liked it. Liked the Land,

At AK, I'd recommend the safari, (of course!) Kali, if they'd like it, Lion King, Pocahantas (that's a must do!), Dinosaur if she's brave, Primeaval Whirl (if she's tall enough), and Flights of Wonder. Then there's also Tough to be a bug, etc....

IF she's brave, she's got to do tower of terror and RnR. My dd did both by 6. And of course the Beauty and the Beast show. Plus the character greetings often have princesses there.

There's too much to do in 4 days, I'll bet your sister comes back saying "we're going again!"

If she loves the princesses then I would suggest going to MGM to see Beauty & the Beast & also The Little Mermaid (I know - she's not a princess).

There is also Muppetvision MGM, The Great Movie Ride, Star Tours, & other things to do.

My kids and nieces like World Showcase in Epcot. There are kidcot stations where they can color masks, lots of characters if you know where to look, and some great entertainment. The Boardwalk is also fun in the evening. It's right outside World Showcase on the way to MGM. I'd skip AK on a short trip.
