I am thinking about e-filing this year. I looked on the IRS site and they have alot of "partner" sites to choose from. Just curious what site most people use. I don't have any tax software loaded or anything....and would like to do it to get my tax refund fast....

Thanks for any input...

Lisa

Lisa I used turbo tax and I got my refund in 12 days, record time for us!

I used H & R Block online, and got my refunds (federal and state) very quickly. :)

We use H&R Block online and got our federal & state within 10 days. We paid 19.99 for the federal and 9.99 for the state.

Check out the ways you can file for free on the IRS.gov website. If you are 50, you can use Taxbrain and file for free. I got my refund in about 10 days. I've always used Turbo Tax in the past, but decided to try the free one.

Thanks everyone...I went and put my info into Turbo Tax for 19.95. The only thing that makes me a little nervous is where you itemize and put in your charitable contributions. They want names of each organization where as on the regular paper IRS form thingie you just put the amount in....I know what most of you are thinking...and yes, I do play around with the contribution part....I think most people do!

Anyway, I have ALWAYS had my taxes done by professional tax preparers up until a couple years ago and just followed what they always wrote down...just changed a few numbers here and there and never had a problem. Anyone know if writing names of the organizations will flag me for an audit or anything?

I put 'various'. You can't possibly list every dollar you stuffed into a collection can, etc. The "THEY" you mean, I think, are the IRS and, they don't care until audit time. The tax programs I looked at all ask that for some reason, maybe for a reminder later? Don't know the answer. I only know that 'various' was accepted since, I have my refund already. :)

I used TaxAct, btw. Last year, I used H&R Block.
