My Budget trip
2 adults 2 kids
6nts, seasonal passes, free dining, value resort $2000. We are driving so $60 in gas and tolls. Kids have been selling old toys on a local 4 sale Facebook page so they can get souvenirs. We have already bought 10 swords and light up things so this time they are on their own for that junk!
Don't you still have to buy a least a one day ticket to get the free dining package?

7-nights/8-days (we usually do 10-days, so this would be budget for us)
Hotel = $500 (we have gotten two rooms at BW for this price in the past)
Base tix = $1200 (budget would equal going during HSD)
Gas = $600 (round trip from KC and back in an older-model Expedition)
Parking = $120 (it is still $15/day, right?)
Misc = $80 (maybe some snacks or other in-park expenses)
We would use our normal food budget to buy items at the grocery store and order pizza to the room.
Total = $2500
It will cost us nearly $4300 to do the exact same thing with free dining and an onsite value hotel. I think the extra $1800 is worth staying in the Disney bubble and not having to carry in food, but will whip out this option if I need to!
ETA: changed the budget around a little because I forgot about parking!!
OK. Let's try this. We are staying for four weeks in Sep/Oct and this is our budget:
* Timeshares = $1,300 including tax thru military
* Rental Car = $460 through Dollar for 4 weeks
* Passes = $0 we have APs we got on an earlier trip
* Airfare = $10 through points
total cost = $1,770 for Four Weeks!
I know we will probably spend more money on food than we would at home, but we wouldn't have to and we may go a few other places like Universal, but we wouldn't have to. We basically have a four week vacation for $1,760. I think that's a great deal. i love doing stuff on the cheap. And the condos are at 4 star resorts!
I guess maybe the question should have been what is your budget for a budget vacation. The PP I am quoting looks like a great total but only if they don't plan on eating for the four weeks they are in Orlando.
My $4000 budget includes everything. Gas, tolls, food on the road, hotel before Disney, resort, tickets, food, extra money for Food and Wine Festival, and a small amount for souvenirs. The only thing I haven't budgeted for that will most likely get added is Photopass +.

You really need to check out the Transportation board on here - there is no way you will need to pay $275 for a rental car for 2 adults in September. You should be able to shave at least $100 off of that - maybe more if you are willing to rent the smaller, economy cars.Well I am trying to budget for my trip now for Sept 2014 for 2 adults. So far I have tickets and room (value) at 1561.82, air fare from south west at 500.00, car rental at $275.00
Do you plan to fast the other 2 days of the week?there are so many variables but i consider a 'budget' to be $1200 or less for 2 adults for one week and we have park hoppers.
our november trip is:
$678 for 4 nites at CBR
$150 airfare
$0 tickets-AP holders
so that leaves us $350 for food and miscellaneous for 5 days.
we could go cheaper but we want a resort with a hammock.
I should probably know this, but what hotel is BW?
