What does your kitchen smell like right now??

Mine is an odd combination of apple pie, cinnamon, pumpkin, Yankee Candle Farmhouse apple and Yankee Candle Autumn Wreath (so far, so yummy, eh?) AND sage, garlic, marjoram, thyme, rosemary, olive oil....!

I guess you could say it smells like Thanksgiving. Odd, but somehow nice all the same.

Hot breakfast sausage patties - doctored with crushed red pepper and Tabasco sauce. Tastes great, but the smell fills the whole house for hours...and it's too darned cold to open a window for very long this morning.

We're already done and the kitchen is clean. China & crystal are handwashed, dried and back in the china cabinet, what few serving pieces and stainless are in the dishwasher. For a long time it smelled like turkey, dressing and sweet potato casserole though. My girls actually woke up this morning going "what smells so good?"

Sauteeing celery and onion. We are going to have a LATE dinner now. I had to take DH to emergency last night for kidney stones and we got back really late. So then slept late...he is still sleeping...and now just starting with stuff!

Roasted turkey, garlic green beans, lemon parmesan asparagas, dressing, cranberry sauce, raspberry walnut broccoli slaw, and gravy. Soon to smell of low sugar pumpkin pie and sugar free Cool Whip too. Yum! Maggie
