If I hear plz one more time (or read it?) I'm going to SCREAM! Being that I'm a teacher, this just proves to me exactly why we have trouble teaching our kids to write properly.

I agree with you 100%! Several of my college friends type like this and it bothers me to no end (I'm an English Education minor). I feel like I'm talking to a kid. A lot of them are art majors, so according to them they're allowed to spell wrong and use such words.

I thought kk stood for "Kool Kool" which is an annoying slang my husband picked up from the girls on the ship. (Navy). I think it's dumb. But, it is the same as okay.

From another teacher (of community college writing for people who have many problems), I wholeheartedly agree GBShorts! Besides, the sheer, unabashed, unadulterated, egregiously mindnumbing laziness of typing another "k" instead of an "o" (same number of keystrokes) shocks, disturbs, and horrifies me! In short, and in vmk speak: "that stinks!"
