I started Weight Watchers yesterday. I'm drinking more water than Niagara, like you all are, I'm sure. ;) I don't have plans to exercise special right now but, it's cold here so, maybe in the future.

I'm still getting accustomed to all the stuff on WW's site but, I'll manage.

So, who's been here the longest and, who's lost the most weight? (If I may ask?)

Any quick tips to help?

Thanks,
Kim :wave2:

Hey Kim!!!!!! It is GREAT to see you here on WISH!!! Also glad to see another WW on board!!

I am not sure who has lost the most, but I do know that SnackyStacky (Dan) has lost over 100# on WW and PartyofSix (Tammy) has lost almost 100# and I think she is on WW, plus we have a lot of WW who have lost at least 50# (me included) plus.

WISH is a great place for motivation, inspiration and friendship, you will be so glad you came by. Grab a clippie and join right in!!

Welcome Kim! I am by no means here the longest (only since September) and by no means have lost the most (only 20 lbs) so far), but this is a great place to be.

I'm doing WW online and love it (though I haven't been tracking my points as well as I should be these last couple of weeks. Water is the key as is exercise (shame on me I haven't been doing it either).

Be sure and go up and sign in on the challenge thread and then you are good to go! Don't forget to grab yourself a clippie and check in on the weekly thread as well.

Hey Kim! Glad you are joining us here on WISH!! You will find lots of support and encouragement here, so jump right in!! :)

Hi Kim!:wave2: I joined WISH a little over a week ago to help me maintain a 110lb. weight loss which took me @15 months. No special plan--I wanted to try Atkins, but I'm a vegetarian, so it wouldn't have worked well for me--so I just made sure I kept my protein high, but I didn't deny myself anything within reason, either. Kind of that old "Everything In Moderation" philosophy. I started exercizing 3-4 x/week with Walk Away The Pounds tapes, and now exercize using The Firm/WATP every day. If I get my exercize in daily, I've found I don't really have to worry about food intake as much. As long as I eat fairly sensibly, it seems to balance out. I wish I would've joined WISH during my weight loss--what a tremendous system of motivation and support everyone is (and boy, were there days when I needed both)! Best wishes to you, Kim, as you begin working towards your goal--I've read here that many have been really successful with WW--and I know they'll be more than happy to help! I'll be looking forward to your posts, Kim, and once again, WELCOME!:) :) :)

Hi Kim,

Another Welcome to WISH! I'm doing the South Beach Diet but I have found whatever program people are on, we are supportive of each other and that's so nice. I've been on WISH since 12/1/03 when I started SBD and have lost 22.5 pounds and countless inches. WISH buddies are the best for support and I know I couldn't have been this successful thus far without coming to this board everyday! You will find lots of encouragement so as others have mentioned, grab yourself a clippie and jump right in.

Thanks everyone! Great replies to start my day. :sunny:

I better go find out about this challenge thing and clippie thing.

Thanks again for the great Welcome!!

:Pinkbounc (that's my exercising for today)

Hi, Kim!

I'm actually a newbie, myself, just joining last week.

As everyone noted, this is such a great community, so much information, so many good hearts and most of all shoulders to cry on.

Everyone's been where you're going so you don't feel alone!

Everyday I think of something I HAVE to share here, being a mod on UMPTEEN boards I can't say that about anywhere else on the DIS. The people here are genuine, for real and they route for you.

This helps anywhere in life!

Again, WELCOME! :wave2:

Hi Kim! Welcome to WISH!!!

All that water really gives new meaning to that jingle from the commercial....Gotta go, gotta go, gotta go right now!! :teeth: I'd really hate for anyone to get stuck between any of us and the bathroom door!! It wouldn't be pretty! :hyper:

I'm glad you're going to be here with us on WISH. There really is no better place for support, advice and a whole lot of fun!! See you around! :D

Hi Kim! :wave2: Add me to the welcoming committee!

I joined WW online 12/16/03 (and WISH the same day). It really is great to have such a wonderful resource so close at hand. All sorts of answers to questions, new ideas and lots of positive thoughts! It has really been a help to me already!

Try to focus on getting some exercise. Over the years, on all my various trys at this weight loss thing, I've found that to be the key. Muscle burns calories and exercise builds muscle. Plus you'll just plain look and feel better as you begin to loose. So even if its only 5 or 10 min a day to start, it's better than nothing. It's pretty cold here right now (13 degrees as I type :earseek: ). I got the FIRM tapes and exercise at home so I don't have to go out and can't use weather as an excuse.::yes::

Good luck on your journey - onward and downward!:wizard:
