Our homeschool group will be entering a float in our local Christmas parade. We won "Childrens Favorite Award" last year :cool1:

This year the parade theme will be "Golden Christmas Memories".

Any idea's for our float theme?

We are just starting to toss around ideas. I thought maybe The Christmas Story could be a cute/funny float. But that "Golden Memory" theme really leaves one scratching thier head. It could mean anything!

Normal Rockwell would be wonderful but financially we cant do that. The families could not each go out and buy clothes like that.

TIA! :santa:

The memory that sticks most with me are the moments after you wake up but before your parents allowed you to enter the area where the tree was. The excitement and anticipation were beyond belief.

It's a Wonderful Life came to my mind. Family tree and happiness and angel earning their wings.

Golden Christmas Memories says to me memories of years past with family (multi generational) around the tree, singing carols, a fire in the fireplace. Or an old fashioned scene with teens ice skating around the local pond. Or Mom and Dad, late at night trying to put together a bicycle and a doll house next to the Christmas tree.
