We're bringing our own. Bought in bulk so I have plenty for rides, rain, the pool.... Picked a bright orange, so we will stand out. Look for us April 4-12!

I don't remember how much the ponchos are, as I purchased mine in 1996 and still have them -- the old yellow ones with Mickey on the back. My brother purchased a few in September 2004 and I believe they were about $6 each, though I'm certain the price has increased. I do know that Disney will replace them if they are ripped, so that seems like a plus.
I know that a lot of people advocate bringing their own and then tossing them, but that just seems so wasteful to me. The dollar store ones are understandably cheap, but over the course of a trip or two, you could have purchased one good one and been done with it. I don't like carrying everything but the kitchen sink, so traipsing around with three or four ponchos doesn't work for me. Then there's the fact that they're not exactly biodegradable (not that this is a consideration for everyone, but for some folks it is). Obviously mileage varies, but for me, it's best just to keep the ponchos in our "Disney Box" so that we don't forget them, rather than buying several versions of the cheaply made ones.
We haven't been to Disney yet,but I have been picking up odds and ends for awhile now in preparation. I made a post a couple of months back about the ponchos I found. Check yor local Walmart. I found ponchos there for about $4
that are DEFINITELY somethign that will stand out. The ones I got are bright yellow and have WVU stamped on them. They also had ones there for the surrounding states with their schools(VA Tech, University of MD, etc.) Check to see if your store carries something like this.
I am bring some dollar store ones. Mainly because if it does rain, I dont want to carry a wet poncho all over the parks. I will toss it and use another
I was at Dollar Tree today. I bought 10 ponchos for $5 (2 in a bag - one yellow and one clear). They're the perfect size to slip into my bag and carry with me in the parks.
I would buy them at a dollar store ahead of time. We got caught in a massive downpour on Christmas day 2 years ago and Disney and it was a mad dash trying to find a place that sold them. We didn't care about price at that point in time and I think they were $9 or $10 apiece.
We were just there about 2 weeks ago and purchased ponchos in AK right outside of Kali. They were $7 each for adult sizes. You can defientely purchase the ones from Dollar Tree cheaper, but to me the Disney ones are much better quality
