What do your little boys listen to?

I'm giving my little brother my iPod shuffle for his 9th birthday, and I was wondering what kind of music I should put on it, so he can listen to it the second he opens it.

He likes "My Humps" and "Holla Back Girl" (Yeah, he figured out my computer password and got into all my music ) But I'd prefer not to have him keep listening to this crud. So besides Disney music, what stuff are your little boys into?

My friend, who has three boys got them listening to blue grass, and groups like Off-kilter by taking them to hear some live. She had problems with what they were hearing on the radio, etc. This way, she didn't have to censor their likes, but redirect them!

My son will be 9 in may. He likes anything on the kidz bop cd's. I've downloaded a ton of that stuff for him.

Pantera
Bush
Institute
Candlebox
Nirvana
Pray for the Soul of Betty

I think that's it right now.

Tom Chopin has some great kids music. My 8 yo grandson loves to listen to him. Also the Radio Disney music and Kidz Bop.

DS3.75 loves AC/DC (Thunderstruck); hollaback girl; stones, van halen and My Humps.

So to sum it up; rock and rolls and songs about bad girls....I guess he passes the "man test"

I asked him what he likes to listen to and most of the stuff he said comes from those silly internet thngs like Peanut butter jelly time. Oh well, harmless. Stupid, but harmless.

The little boy in question likes Guns N Roses and Skynrd.... some country (thanks to Dad) "Paint me a Birmingham" comes to mind.... Doctor Demento stuff..... and Disney..... Just please, please, please.... not "My humps"

I fight my 7 year old boy for my disco CD's-he brings friends into the house and we scream to turn it down. I traded Saturday night fever for KC and the Sunshine band last week.

He also LOVES what he calls Jesus music--KLove is his favorite station. Radio Disney is popluar on the XM dial too.

My DS10 listens to Nickleback, *edited* Black Eyed Peas (he can't listen to My Humps), Gwen Stefani, 3 Doors Down, Evanescence, Maroon 5 (some edited), Outkast (some edited), Rob Thomas, Seal, Matchbox 20 (old stuff), Will Smith. I know I'm leaving stuff out. I really pay attention to lyrics because I know he does!!

ETA: He likes Smashmouth too!!!
