What do your kids call you???

I'm mom and my husband is daddy. I think she stopped calling me mama when she was five or so, and I think daddy will ALWAYS be what she calls her dad. :)

Same here. :D

Mom and Dad usually. Sometimes Mama and Daddy - that is what they used to call us when they were little. :D

I really can't stand it when married couples call each other Mother and Father. Anyone here do that or know someone who does?

Sort of. My DH refers to me as "mommy" when he's talking to the kids. This is fine. However, I have caught him a few times referring to me as "mommy" when talking to friends. It drives me NUTS and I have told him so. He's getting better as I haven't heard that in a while.

I'll have to listen more closely to see what my kids call me. I think it varies. If they are hollering, it is "MAAAAAMAAAAA." If they are trying to get my attention, it is "Mom. . .mom. ..mommy. . .mom. . .mommy. . .mom" until I snap "I'm on the phone, just wait a minute!"

My 15 and 12 yr old's usually call me mom or mother. 3 yr old calls me mommy and the 10 month says mamamama mamamama--lol.
Its close enough to mama for me.

Dad or daddy, depending on the child.

Me, I'm mom- to my oldest,
mommy- to my youngest or when either one wants something, mother- when they want to annoy me,
mother dearest- when my oldest really wants to get on my nerves.

For some reason when I was a teenager I started calling my mom Ma. I don't know why I did that. mom was mom, dad is dad, daddy when I was younger.

My two year old daugther calls me mommy or mama and my husband is daddy or sometimes lately she calls him daddy silly guy :D We're not quite sure where she got that one. ;)

My son is 28 and he calls me Momma or Ma and, depending on his mood, sometimes he calls me Motherrrr :)

I am Mama, Mom, or Mommy. My DH is Papa, Pop, or Daddy. DH calls me Mommy and I call him Daddy. When we refer to one another to another person, we use our first names.

I call my parents Mommy and Daddy and my DH calls his mother, Mommy.

We taught our kids to call us by our given names. The two older ones (19 & 22) usually always do unless they want something, then it's Mom or Dad. The 11 year old tends to call me Mom more often while he uses his Dad's given name more.
We are comfortable with it, as are the kids. Sometimes other people have a hard time understanding it.
Incidentally, we are a fairly normal family, tightknit, very close to our kids.
Just ask Velvetgloves. =0)

My kids usually call me Mom. When they are sick I get Mommy. If my DD (almost 14) is in one of her moods (bad or silly) or if I've called her by her first and middle name then she will sometimes call me by my first and middle name.

Momof2OH,
The dreaded first and middle name thing. LOL. My kids know I mean business when they hear both.

Why would you ask you children to call you by your given names? Just wondering what prompted you to have them do that? Is that how you addressed your parents?

Whitegloves ~ Yes when I say Ryan Nichole to my DD, she knows somethings up and that's when she proceeds to reply back to me with yes,Gina Nichole. It's very comical.:)

My DS17 and DD14 both call me "HEY MOM". Sometimes, they
(both speak French) call me Mere.

all 3 kids call me " Mama"-so cute hearing it from a 16 1/2 year old with a deep voice:D
