What Do you want to see in Star Wars Land and Pixar Land?

The cars thing doesn't make sense on so many planes I can't remember them all at one sitting...

But everytime its pointed out...you get "well why not?"

It's definition of insanity time with this.

If you really want to go on "RSR"...and feel like you're missing something...

It's not like you can't get there with "minor" effort.

I do have to agree with DDland to a point on cars. If Disney wanted things exclusive and say didn't want cars in WDW or other things for that matter why are they building a Star Wars land that's exactly the same in both places. All cars rumors for DHS that I have seen don't have a full fledged carsland there anyways. So if DHS were to get cars it wouldn't be the same as DCA anyways.

I will agree with you that Jim isn't the most reliable guy in Disney rumors but it's not like he's never been right. Jim's biggest problem is he reports everything he hears which then leads to a lot go that aren't correct.

If Disney wanted things exclusive and say didn't want cars in WDW or other things for that matter why are they building a Star Wars land that's exactly the same in both places. All cars rumors for DHS that I have seen don't have a full fledged carsland there anyways. So if DHS were to get cars it wouldn't be the same as DCA anyways.

Because cars isn't the same property as Star Wars...

And cars...a property specifically meant for six year old boys and featuring an increasingly outdated "thing"...just doesn't fit the bill for everywhere.

And let's face it...do really need more copies?

There has been exactly 1 new ride system installed on the whole property in 10 years...and we're still 2 years from the next one...

I'd rather they build something different so they can then copy it somewhere else.

Cars is hugely popular and not outdated. Yes I know the internet thinks they are the worst Pixar movies, but that's because the internet is not the target audience, as you said it's aimed at young boys. And it sells massively as do all the spin offs. As, no doubt, will the next sequel they have lined up. Add to the fact it is essentially already designed and is hugely popular. Those are strong arguments for its presence at Disney World despite the issues you've mentioned.

Yes, it would be a duplicate, but given that 75% of Disney World guests aren't ever going to Disneyland I think that's irrelevant.

I wasn't comparing racers to test tack as a potential copy...I was Saying the weather in Florida has made test track incredibly difficult/expensive and they wouldn't be eager to take that on.

And I'm not saying Lightning McQueen is outdated...I'm saying "cars" are. And US Stubborn tendency will change based on this...it is inevitable.
Don't know if you need multiple areas in multiple parks anchored to that theme.

That isn't the case with Star Wars or toy story.

A part of cars in studios is probably ok...not an anchor

Cars is doing just fine. Just look at the California edition that keeps drawing in their target demographic. It's hard to argue it's anymore outdated than Monsters Inc. Edit: I see you're talking about Cars in general. Hmm... Well even if that's true you could argue the same thing about Runaway Mine Trains, Tea Supply Trains, and the MK Rail Road. I think it should be fine at WDW. Also it's of note that little kids are always going to love cars. There's a strong fascination with that type of thing.

I'd say they're heading for the McDonalds, Courtyard Marriott, Starbucks route. The more same the better. These parks and resorts can send a clear message of branding, similar or the same marketing, and also piggy back off of development costs. Arguably Disney would want to have individuals go to the one Disney theme park that's closest to them. Making the sometimes cross country journey would mean that upon reaching the resort they'd have already spent more on travel meaning they have less to spend at the actual resort. Also any individuals coming across the country would be taking capacity away from the market that Disney is supposed to be serving with each park. Making each park distinct doesn't seem to make sense from a large corporate view. (with that said, I wouldn't be shocked if TDO or TDA wanted to keep offerings Resort specific because they don't care if they're stealing guests from the other coast and I'm sure there's sibling rivalry). My opinion on a homogenized Disney Parks experience on each coast is one of indifference. I understand where they're coming from and personally it doesn't bother me. I'm fine with the setup.

We have 3 maybe 4 new ride systems that have never been in Orlando inbound by the end of the decade (not counting the spinner which I find questionable). I think they're willing to take those types of risks.
