what do you want in your current home that you dont already have?

Feeling sort of verklempt reading these - we have a lot of the things listed here. Nothing fancy or big, mind you. But over the years we’ve gotten most of what we wanted put in. (No hot tub and no garage, or walk-in anything, but they weren’t on our wish list anyway.)

What I would like that I know I will never have here is an en suite (bathroom space) in our main bedroom.

I would also like our 30+ years worth of un-wanted/needed stuff to magically disappear. :lmao:

along with a walk in freezer please :thumbsup2

The walk in fridge people make those, too! If we ever build a new house (which we swore we would not) I’d make room for them if possible!
We do have a walk in cooler BUT it’s not something we run all the time, just as needed and it’s up in the barn.

For those that want a hot tub, I encourage you to look into them. Ours costs very little to heat (in MD so it’s cold in winter), takes 5 minutes a week to clean/put in chemicals if needed. I would guesstimate we spend about $500 a year on chemicals. I empty in and clean/refill it about every 3 months. We use ours several times a week year round.

Hot tub, small pool for the dog to swim in (Labrador), fenced in yard for the dog, more bedroom closet space, a full sized bathtub, one more bedroom, interior stairs to the basement, an attic, and a flat yard. As much as I love my neighborhood, living on a huge hill is a pain in the butt some days.

Aww. You can’t have a pet? Seems like working in the shelter it must pull at your heartstrings every time you’re there.
I think it's because I miss all of them when I go camping. I spend about 1/2 the year or so away from them and it is getting harder and harder to do. I'm really concerned that I'll need a good traveler and that is certainly not a guarantee so I just keep putting it off because I'm afraid it won't work out like I envision. It'd be really easy if I didn't have the travel/camping factor to think of. I'm sure I'll eventually figure it out but that seemed to be the most obvious answer I could come up with for this particular question.

New flooring in my husband's office (will happen), a real range hood instead of our stupid down draft exhaust (unlikely to happen), a gas table and hood in the dining room set up for table top cooking like in Japanese bbq restaurants (will never happen but would if we won the lottery; though we'd have to play for that to happen.
