What do you use for a "gigantic" piggy bank that doesn't break the bank..

I remember those huge coke bottle and crayola crayon piggy banks. I prefer to not buy something to store our savings in--so was looking for a creative visual alternative.

What are some creative ways that you stash your spare cash for Disney?

I have a pooh bear piggy bank and we like to "feed" pooh--but his capacity is limited and he is loaded with pennies right now.

Didn't even think of that. Great idea.

Coffee cans would work, but we don't have those.

We wrap a box, cut a hole in the stop and decorate it with Disney stickers.

I work in a preschool and we give the kids animal crackers for snack one day a week. They come in those big square canisters with screw on lids. When I emptied one instead of trashing it, I brought it home to put our "disney change" in. I left it plain but you could cover it in disney themed paper. If need be you could cut a slit in the top and glue the lid on. I just left ours the way it was. Hope this helps some.

We use a giant pickle jar. Like one of those giant ones that you find in the bulk foods area. DH made a cool sticker for the front of it and any and all spare change goes in it.

I use a five gallon water jug(the ones for water coolers) they now have 2 1/2 gal ones also. I put a cover on mine.. i noticed if i seen the money in the bottom i would tap from it if i dont see it its kinda outa sight out of mind

I wouldn't put money in a 5 gallon bucket, That is going to be super heavy to move. I would put them in little containers

We have a medium sized glass jar with lid. It's small-medium I'd say but filled with coins it's plenty heavy enough! When it fills, we take it to change it to cash to add to our vacation fund. If the container is too large, it's too heavy and cumbersome to easily convert.

After reading a couple posts, over time, about people being robbed and losing unknown amounts of money in large containers, and also because I can't handle dealing with the thought of "how much money IS in there?", I don't do the big container thing.

I now have two Epcot souvenir beer steins (one from Norway, one from Germany) with change. And I routinely roll what's in them, and then deposit those coin rolls into the bank, so no one "accidentally" spends it, and to protect it in case someone were to rob us.

We have this. DH came with it DD wrapped it and wrote "Bottle of Bounty" on it.

We have a gradual system. I have an old piggy bank DSis gave me years ago. When it feels heavy, I open it up and roll the coins up. We take the coin rolls to the bank a few at a time--and we keep some at home as our emergency funds.

We use one of those huge water cooler bottles but if close to even half full, no one can lift it. Another suggestion that my son just said was the big plastic tub that the cheese puffed balls come in. It is clear though so it would be tempting to see so much change.

I use a washed out cat litter container that has a handle on it. Nice big opening for putting money in and taking out.

DH used to keep his change in one of those huge, clear plastic pretzel containers. It was right inside his closet door. We got robbed, it was taken, and I hope the person who lifted it got a hernia as a result because that bad boy was FULL of change.

I follow my mom's lead these days. She always kept change in stuff you'd see lying around the house. My personal favorite? A round Quaker Oatmeal box kept in the cereal cabinet! Doesn't hurt that we're Quaker, either!

I use a jar that counts the money. That way I always know how much I have. When it gets full, I take it and cash it out and put that in an envelope for Disney. We use one like this.
