What do you use as "Zero Hour" for your countdown?

Is it midnight of your departure date?

The time your flight leaves? Estimated arrival time at the Orlando airport, or at WDW?

I liked what I read on the board yesterday...someone said that when they leave the office the day before their trip, they're already "in the park"! I think I'm going to go with that one!!

For us, I think the Zero Hour is when we've made it through all the hoopla at the airport and take our seats to wait for our flight. Its right then that we both sit down, look at each other and you can tell we both start getting very excited! I can't wait, only six more months till that feeling!!

When I leave work and hop in the car for the airport or the road if we are driving.

If we drive, hubby and I meet at home for lunch and shut the house down and pack the last minute stuff, then hubby drops me at work. He then picks me up at 5:10pm and we are on the road.

If we fly, we still meet at home for lunch, etc. Hubby picks me up at 5:10 pm and we head for the airport.

As we pull out of the driveway and start our 12 hour journey to Orlando.

thats EXACTLY what I was going to say, but its 10 hours for us.

the way I see it: I'm on call 24/7, 365. I cant REALLY plan much of anything for the family, because if one of my better customers has a pipe split open and flood their house, they expect me to drop what I'm doing and rush on over. "Family??? Whats that??? your ad says IMMEDIATE RESPONSE!!! You mean you cant blow out the candles of your 15 year homemade anniversary cake and rush over here??? I know you have "other plans" but I need you to drop all that and crawl under my 12" off the ground 6" deep of mud mobile home!!!":rotfl2: :lmao:

(I'm not complaining, thats why I'm debtfree! That kind of service dont come cheap.)

No but seriously, I have to give the family a lot of rainchecks. So its not vacation till the car is loaded up, the kids are in, and the car is rolling out of the driveway! Up to THAT moment ANYTHING can happen!!!
