What do YOU think?

We stayed at a moderate the first time I took my girls to WDW and then the next year we caught a great deal and stayed deluxe. With their ages being 3 and 4 at the time it was priceless to be on the monorail. No waking them up at the bus stop to fold up strollers etc. We just wheeled them on the monorail. As long as we can swing it, we plan on staying on the monorail as long as they are still young and when they are older maybe we'll do a less expensive deluxe like WL or AKL.

The pool really doesn't matter. Although they love the Poly pool, they pretty much love the pool anywhere they go, but I do like the zero entry feature of the deluxe pools.

If the deluxe is not in your budget range..that's okay. My girls however enjoy ASmovies better than Pop. They related to the decor of the resort better than that at Pop.

You're kids will have fun anywhere they stay. I try to balance their needs with my own as I'm the one hauling them around...ha!

Have a great time!

We took my oldest son for the first time when he was 3 and stayed at POP. It was a big change for DH and me since we had only stayed at WL and BW on our trips before children. Nevertheless, it was great! For the price, you can't beat it-- it has a great foodcourt and our son loved the pools. We also had a relaxing Disney experience. We went to a park first thing in the morning, and then came back to the room after lunch. After napping or swimming, we would get ready for dinner and head out to a park again. (We had the dining plan, so most dinners were table service in the parks.) We were also back in the room by 8:00 each night.

I do have to warn you though, that rooms are smaller. When we went on our next trip, our sons were 4 and just under 1. We decided POP would not work well with having a Pack N Play. That's just our opinion, but we thought it would be too tight. We wound up splurging on WL (it was our 10th anniversary.) But this year we are going with a Moderate for the first time. I assume that when our youngest can sleep in a bed, we will be back at POP. (My 5yo still talks about it!) You just can't ignore a $200/night difference.

When we went a couple years ago, my kids were 6 and 4, and we LOVED the AS Movies. The resort was great, the pool was fine, the transportation was fine... we were very happy with our choice of resorts.

Earlier this year, we stayed a CR - my main reason for this was transportation - we had an infant with us this time, and we were only going to Epcot and MK! I wanted to be able to NOT have to fold up my stroller. The baby was only 5 months old at the time, so CR for us on this trip was WELL worth the extra money.

Our next trip, we were going to AK only, and stayed at a value resort because of the same transportation factors (baby was 6 months old).

Our next trip is WL, only because of the Christmas decor.

When the baby outgrows the stroller-stage, or we can rent a stroller at the parks that she's comfy in, we'll probably go back to values!

I would recommend staying at the POP! We stayed there two years ago and our girls loved it! You are honestly not in the room that much so it's silly to spend the extra ca$h on a more expensive hotel. All you'll be using the room for is to sleep and shower anyway! Use that money for something else fun to do! POP is definitely worth staying at! It took me several years to save our money too. That's why I chose a value resort. I figured it took me many, many months of saving and I didn't want to blow it a moderate or deluxe just so my kids could go down a slide!! We're going again in three weeks and we're staying at a family suite in the All Star Music resort with my parents. I hope it's as great as the POP!! Good Luck!
