What do you think of the new DVC logo?

I have a portfolio pad that I received for going to a tour of BLT. It has the globe behind Mickey. Have they been "testing" the globe with members for a while now. (I just noticed today, and I have been using the thing since Sept.)

Any opinions about the new logo? It doesn't do anything for me - no imagination. I'd rather have the old one; it was unique.

Personally I like the older versions with the mountains in it. This newer version with the world and the 20 with the mouse ears doesn't appeal to me.

(with trepidation I say) I really like the new logo. As a new owner, I look forward to using my DVC membership in a more "global" way. I know my kids (DD 8, DD 7) will not always long for the palm trees of Orlando. I can't wait to take them overseas when the time is right. I feel like this logo signifies a bigger commitment to making dvc more international. That's something we're excited about.

I don't care for it, saw it this past week on the back of the Disney buses and it just does not convey Disney Vacation Club to me.

Jim Lewis' note in Disney Files makes clear that they anticipate some negative response from members, but he's preemptively telling us to get over it.

The new logo I liked initially very much. And then...I noticed that crazy 2 sticking off the side of the globe. I get the whole new millenium thing, but don't mess with my mickey ears!

AFAIK, the "2" is just there to dress-up the logo and help celebrate the 20th anniversary of DVC.

Well, really just the mouse ears/globe thingy. They'll add the "Disney Vacation Club" in a variety of ways to suit each purpose.

I hate that if you aren't familiar with DVC, you'll have no idea it's for DVC. This means the logo will ALWAYS have "Disney Vacation Club" typed behind it in some way. I think they should have worked DVC creatively into the logo so you know what it's for.

Otherwise, it just looks like "Disney".

Have no objections to a new logo.... but it should be more artistic..... this new one looks "Dumbed Down"

I don't think I am that thrilled with the new logo, but I wasn't thrilled with the last logo. I agree that the old one didn't look like Disney or DVC. Mountains and palm trees? Not really ultra representative of all that is a Disney vacation.
