We're going in December with DH, DD(6), DS(3), and my parents. We're staying at Wilderness Lodge Villas, so we'll do breakfasts in our room to save money, and CS lunches in the Parks. Before heading back to the hotel for nap time. Do my dinner times seem reasonable? Of course, this is just what I'm hoping to get. ADR's aren't available for a few more weeks.

Sunday - arrival day - Dinner 1900 Park Fare (6pm)

Monday - Garden Grill Epcot (6pm)

Tuesday - I hope to see Fantasmic this night. It is also my Mother's birthday. So, I was thinking of packing a picnic (including birthday cake), and taking it with us. Arriving about 75 minutes early, enjoying a picnic/birthday celebration while we wait for it to start.

Wednesday - Asherkus (6pm)

Thursday - Chef Mickey's (5pm). I'm hoping to hit the Light Parade and Wishes this night after dinner.

Friday - Whispering Pines (6pm) - to be followed by the Chip n Dale Campfire Sing Along. (begins 7:30)

Saturday - departure day

What is Whispering Pines? Do you mean Whispering Canyon Cafe? It might be hard to get from there to the sing along by 7:30 if you have a 6:00 ADR. Might want to try for earlier.

Assuming you meant Whispering Canyon there is no way you will make the sing along. Whispering Canyon is at Wilderness Lodge and Sing along is at Fort Wilderness.... they are two seperate locations. I'd make dinner at 5 that night. It's attached to where you are staying so it won't take long to get there.

As far as HS day I'd look at lunch w/ F! package. That will alleviate so much waiting there AND the CS options in HS are mwah anyway. You could still do your picnic lunch that day too.

I totally agree with hannahdrewmom.:thumbsup2

Try to get a lunch ADR at Mama Melrose as part of the F. package. Then you have the whole afternoon to do what you like. You won't have to wait in that long lineup for the regular Fantasmic entrance. You can use your voucher and use the F. package entrance 30-45 minutes before the show, and still have your lovely birthday picnic in the amphitheatre.:cheer2:

Yes, I meant Whispering Canyon Cafe. Thanks for catching that, and thanks for the time feedback. I'll switch that one to 5pm.

With regard to Fantasmic, I was planning on spending the morning at a different park b/c they say that HS gets so crowded on Fantasmic days.

To me it doesn't sound that bad to get there 75 minutes early and have our picnic and hang out until it starts. Am I crazy? How early does it fill up? I don't really care about having the "best" seats.

Would they allow one of us to go in early and hold seats for the rest?
