What do you guys think of how the Beach Club Vilas compare to the Beach Club resort.

We have stayed at the Beach Club resort and were thinking of staying at the BCV STUDIO this time around.

PROS ????? CONs ???

P.S. We loved the Beach Club resort

While I ahve never stayed at the Beach Club, we loved the BCV. I like being able to get away from all of the action of the Lobby and SAB. It was great to go to the quiet pool. We were on the ground floor and we walked right out to the pool and hot tub. My FIL liked this as he was able to enjoy his "private" hot tub by the pool at night after everyone had gone to bed.

I also like the easy access to EPCOT by the back gate as well as access to the car.

There's probably not a huge diference in the villas vs. the resort until you get into the larger units.

The villas are slightly closer to Epcot and the BW, but not appreciably so.

Unless I'm mistaken, the regular BC room are simply hotel rooms with the standard double beds.

The BCV studios are closer to an actual studio design and not a hotel room design. That is they have a single bed and a sofa, giving it a sleeping area and a 'sitting' area. Also the studio will have a mini-fridge and a microwave.

Part of BCV is closer to Epcot, part of BC is actually the closest to Epcot - the BCV Studios are about 360 square feet and as Caskbill mentioned have 1Q bed, 1 rollaway (Couch) and a kitchenette

They are decorated in a beach/seaside theme

I would pick the studio to have the couch during the day and the kitchenette

thanks

BC views are possible of crescent lake and SAB, not availble at BCV. BC would be closer to SAB.

I have stayed in both and love them both. I like the villas much better than the rooms naturally because they are larger with more conveniences. But I like the location of the rooms better than the villas. The BC rooms are much closer to the restaurants, main pool, marina, etc. The BCVs were an add on to an existing resort and was built on the old parking lot for BC. This is very evident in the distance between the villas and the main hub of the resort.

We stayed in the BC for almost 10 years before buying into BCV.

The regular rooms at the BC are more spacious and it is possible to get very nice views of the lake or SAB. We could comfortably sleep 5 adults (2 queens and a daybed) and a toddler (in a crib) in a BC room which would be out of the question in a BCV studio.

On the other hand, BCV studios have a kitchenette, so if you don't have more than 4 people and you bring home doggie bags or like to eat breakfast in your room, BCV might work out better for you. We also liked the fact that Epcot is, in general, closer to the villas. It is so great to be so close to Epcot that you can be spontaneous and just "drop in" whenever you feel like it.

Hope this helps.

The BC was always one of our favorite resorts before we became DVC members. One of our favorite rooms was on the first floor near the quiet pool, which was also near the laundry. Now we have our own quiet pool and our favorite room is still first floor by it.

I don't like the rooms at the BCV that face the road. There is no equivalent room at the BC. But now we have 2BRs instead of two connecting rooms plus a kitchen thrown in as well.
