And when did you start wearing it? I've seen a lot of people complaining that younger and younger girls have been wearing makeup, and was wondering other people's thoughts!

I started wearing cover-up and light foundations in 5th grade because that's when I started getting acne (I was extremely hormonal and went through very early puberty, and it wasn't just like one zit back then, it was moderate acne). In 6th grade I wore even more because I got made fun of for my acne, even though I don't think that helped because I wore not so great makeup that looked cakey and got made fun of for THAT (middle school kids are so mean).

I started wearing eyeliner and eyeshadow about a quarter of the year into 7th grade, and since then (I'm in 9th grade now) I almost never leave the house without a little bit of eyeliner! I almost never wear eyeshadow now, however, just black eyeliner. I just think eyeliner makes everyone (including dudes, hehe) look better.

Now, I wore shimmery lip glosses ever since I was little but I don't count that. I think most little girls had a thing lip gloss =P

Now... what about all you peoples? =3

I used to wear like mascara and lipgloss when I was like 11/12?
But I don't wear any anymore..
Like, at all. Not even on New Year's Eve or when I met ATL or anything xD
I'm really not bothered tbh

I didn't start wearing foundation until about 8th grade. I went last year and wore foundation, mascara, and eyeliner the whole year and then when summer came I stopped putting it on. Now I only wear foundation, I'm not good at applying makeup and I don't like to hassle with it so I don't wear it. I can't wear lip gloss because I end up licking it off and it makes my lips feel dry.

I think it depends. Probably around 7th grade. I've seen fourth grades with eyeliner, blush, mascara, the whole thing and I was wondering why they would need it.
I wear foundation to get rid of some of the red on my face from acne, but if I didn't have acne I probably wouldn't wear makeup.

I started wearing mascara at the end of 6th grade. I started wearing eyeliner in 7th grade. I started wearing foundation in 8th grade (this year). I normally wear brown or greyish eyeliner and mascara. I only wear foundation because I get light circles underneath my eyes, I get them because of the lack of blood flow in that area. I wish I would've waited a little longer, because I think I look wierd without it.

I started wearing legit makeup in 7th grade.
I wore eyeliner, foundation, mascara, and eye shadow.
I regret my mom letting me wear it then, because now if I just randomly stop, I look weird.
But now I really only wear mascara, grey eye shadow, foundation, and a little bit of brown eyeliner on the bottom. you can hardely tell I'm wearing any, but if I wern't actully wearing any, I'd look weird. You know?
I think when they start high school is a good age. Throughout middle school I think that maybe they could wear foundation, lip gloss, and maybe like a little bit of eye shadow.

I really can't apply makeup. I'm too clumsy. I did wear eyeliner to school once in 8th grade, and people said it looked nice. My grandma complains that I should be wearing eye shadow and stuff, but I never felt the need.

I started wearing foundation at age 18. And im 20 now and thats the only thing i wear.

i didn't start wearing foundation until i was like 17, i started wearing eyeliner in grade 8 i think (i wore white eyeliner because back in 2003 that was 'cool') as for the right age, i think it's the same as shaving your legs, whenever a girl feels subconscience about having hairy legs/having acne, is the right age.
i probably started wearing mascara in grade 9, i don't really wear anything else.
i still wear eyeliner, concealer & mascara almost everyday, but when i was younger it was much more basic.

i have always loved make-up, but only recently started figuring out what looks good & how to use it correctly.

6th grade i would ALWAYS try to put on TONS of eye liner. i would have big fights with my parents over it, because they didn't want me wearing it. looking back on it, they were right.

7th grade i would wear mascara & eye liner on some days.

8th grade i would do mascara & eye liner, and by the end of the year i figured out that i looked better with only top lid eye liner.

this year i'm a freshman in highschool and i do A LOT more. except it doesn't look like i wear a lot, so nobody really knows how fake i am xD

i wear:
liquid foundation
face powder stuff
eye shadow
eye-liner (on the top)
mascara (my favorite thing in the WORLD)
blush
lip gloss (or more likely, chapstick)

i wish i wouldn't have started wearing make-up so young, so i wouldn't have to do as much now like sophie said.]

as for the right age, i would say apply as needed. i never really NEEDED make-up when i was 12. i don't understand girls who have perfect skin caking foundation on.

I started wearing makeup when I was like 11. Bad idea. Now I think I look gross without it. ha

I didn't really start wearing makeup until I was 15.
I just wasn't interested.

I'm kind of against little girls (like under 9) wearing anything more than lip gloss and maybe face powder (only because I know they probably like to put the powder on, I know I did). Like, those beauty pagents they have TV shows about, with the little girls who wear TONS of makeup? Those make me sad =[

Now I wear:

MAC studio fix pressed powder foundation
Liquid cover-up on any zits
Black eyeliner
Primer potion so my eyeliner doesn't smear

Special occasions:
All above
Colored lip gloss
Mascara
Black eyeshadow (sometimes pink or purple)

As long as you're not in elementary school, I think makeup is opkay. I hate seeing fourth graders with more makeup on than me.

totally agree with you on the little girls!!!
and yeee mac studio fix all the way!!!!!!! :cloud9:

i use all mac stuff now and i la la love it (except mascara cuz their mascara makes me eyes tired--it's too heavy) i either use the eyeliner gel (which i LOVE) or eyeliner marker (looks like a sharpie lol) and i use revelon mascara and berts bees on ma lips! haha

I'm 13, and still don't wear makeup. Not even lip gloss. Well, save for my colorgaurd competitions, which I have to put on:

-Foundation (not required, but my mom has me put it on)
-Lipstick
-Blue eyeshadow (BLUE!)
-Mascara
-Eyeliner (top and bottom)
-Blush

and I hate it all, lol.

My friend puts black eyeliner on so heavy it looks like she applied it with sharpie.

i dont really wear make-up much. mainly because i hate taking it off at night. but if i do wear it, i wear:
-mineral foundation (sometimes. when i could be bothered)
-concealer (for my seemingly permenant dark circles under my eyes)
-black mascara (i wear this most days)
-eyeliner sometimes, on the inner rims of my eyes. black mostly, white if i look super tired, green if im bored of black.
-i've started wearing lipstick recently, but i dont wear very much.
-gold gloss

usually, its only lipstick and/or mascara. i have bad skin, but it doesn't really bother me. i dont like it, but it doesn't affect my quality of life.

i dont think girls should start wearing make-up until they are at least 13. except for lip gloss of course :)

I'm 18 and I don't usually wear makeup. I wear it every now and then. I definitely wear it when I dress up, though. I don't wear much though - I look really weird with a lot on.

I'd probably say sometime in middle school.

I'm in high school and I haven't had any interest in putting on makeup. People have said I look better natural and my friend has tried makeup on me before and it didn't look very good, so..

I figure I'm just going to school. I don't see much point in me putting something on that I'm not going to see and then have to take it off a few hours later.

I started wearing a lot of makeup in 7th grade. I then went through a phase of always wearing foundation, mascara, eye shadow, blush, eyeliner...through about sophomore year. My junior year I then started wearing less foundation but usually always wore mascara and blush, sometimes eye shadow. I usually would wear tinted moisturizer, blush and mascara. Towards the end of my freshman year in college I just stopped wearing anything...too much hassle. I really should wear tinted moisturizer again, because it was spf in it. I love the look of mascara but I like to rub my eyes :lmao:

Anyway, kind of unnecessarily long but I started wearing makeup in 7th grade. I had some stuff (a bronzer thing that I thought was so cool! and mascara and lots of lip gloss) but never wore it consistently.

I'm a sophomore in high school and I never wore make up to school ever.

Personally, elementary school is way too young. Maybe for lip gloss and what not but not full out.
