What do you think is the best week in November?

I was getting ready to book our 2015 trip to Disney and can't decide if we want to book the week of the 9th ( we are celebrating my 40th) or hold out to see more Christmas decorations the week after Thanksgiving. In your opinion which would be the better week? Thanks for any tips.

For the week of the 9th, you're inclined to run into some residual Jersey Week crowds, some Veteran's Day crowds, as well as end of F&W crowds and half marathon crowds if their dates stay the same next year.

The week after Thanksgiving is likely better, but keep in mind that Pop Warner will be arriving 12/5 of next year (most likely, not confirmed) so that may affect where you want to stay and/or your dates.

Personally, I like the week before Thanksgiving (week after the 9th). Calm before the storm of Thanksgiving week.

Ditto on the PP. This will be my second time staying the week before Thanksgiving. Definitely low crowds plus the decorations are up for sure. I have stayed that first week of December before as well and it was very quiet and fun!

The only advantage is slightly better weather during your earlier choice, but it's not a huge difference either way.

For 2014, it should be a great week! It all depends on when Veteran's day falls. You get a bump in crowds around 11/11 since schools are generally closed that day. In NJ, schools close additional days, so the second week (in 2014) will have more moderate crowds due to that.

That's good! Our last park day is Thursday the 6th so should avoid the crowds from that. My kids don't have Veteran's Day off.

Actually our stay was perfect-Oct 31-Nov 9th! We got to attend both the Mickey not so scary Halloween Party and the Mickeys very merry Christmas Party as well as Epcot Food and Wine and the Osborne lights at Hollywood Studios. Perfect 10 days!
