Hi Guys

Hoping you can help me out once again. You may remember a couple of days ago I posted enquiring about flight only as part of our 2 week holiday to Orlando next year of which 1 week will be spent on the Disney Cruise.

Well we have come to one definate decision and that is we want to fly from our home town of Cardiff. With that in mind, so far we have the follwing options open to us. What do you think?

Option 1. Direct Holidays -17th August, 2 days before cruise. Flight only £600 x2 =£1200, we would need to book hotels independently for the 2 nights before the cruise and 5 nights after. 2 Transfers £29 x 2= £58.00. Total cost without accomadation £1258.

Option 2. Direct Holidays-17th August, 2 days before cruise, Package holiday to include Flights, Transfers and 14 nights at the Travelodge International Drive, which includes free transportation to WDW, UNIVERSAL, ETC. We only really need the room for 7 nights, but have been advised that we "own" the room for 14 nights we can leave anything that we dont want to take on the cruise, except our valubles of course, behind and they will be perfectly safe. But it's playing on my mind that we have paid for 14 nights and only using 7 of them. Total Cost for Flights, Transfers and accomadation £1784.

Option 3. Travel City Direct- August 18th 1 day before cruise. Part Package holiday to include 1 night before cruise at the Quality Suites, International Drive, before cruise, then 7 nights at the Quality Suites,International Drive after cruise which includes free transportation to WDW, UNIVERSAL ETC and Free Hot American buffet breakfast each morning of our stay and Transfers.Total cost of Flights, accomadation and Transfers £1649.

So if you are still with me, what do you think? Option 1 flights only mean I still have to book hotel accomadtion for the nights before and after the cruise and I dont know if I can get them any cheaper than option 2 or 3. We dont want anything Luxury as the main part of the holiday is the cruise which we have paid for seperatly, but like the idea of the free shuttle service to the parks. Option 3 is only 1 day away from the cruise and does not leave a lot of time should we have any flight delays.

I appricate any feedback you may have, good or bad.

Thanks

Sue

Option 1 my friend :)

That is a great price for flights! Is the transfer price to Port Canaveral?

I think you may find to be on I Drive reliant on their transport a pain after staying in Disney accommodation before (I'm not saying it's not do-able, just that you might find it a lot less convenient)

JMHO :)

Hi Sue

I'd say go with Option 1, we've just booked 3 nights at La Quainta near Disney for £115 (total). So if you could find something similiar it would cost you less to book your own accommodation for the 2 + 5 nights.

Hi

I agree Option 1 would be your best bet. You'd save about £400 on the other deals and with the dollar rate as it is you'd get a pretty nice hotel for the 7 "non cruise" days. Wouldn't the £400 stretch to 7 nights at the Disney budget hotels or maybe even the Swan or Dolphin if they had any deals on?

Hi Guys

I think you are right,Option 1 looks like the best bet. I do hope I can get a Disney hotel for the difference in price of option 2 or 3, maybe the allstars or pop.

Thanks for your replys

£600 each for the flight seems pretty good.

If anybody else has any thoughts, please let me know.Esp on hotel deals.

I think option 1 - that's a great price for the flights!. You should be able to pick up a hotel on I drive for a few hundred pounds max!! :teeth:
