What do you think about the DVC member party in May for $299?

My dad and I are debating on going. We did not go on the members only cruise last year and regretted it later. We can't decide if this year will be worth it? What do you think?

By the time we heard about the specail event, my vacation dates were already booked! Also, it didn't seem to be a very good deal for us since we have annual passes. Therefore, we would be paying for park attendance twice.

Oh well, maybe next time.

we already had passes too. Plus its way too much money to spend on the kids, who will sleep most of the event away.

Based on previous posts, responses fall into several catagories.

1) Some think that any member event is worth attending. No matter the cost, DVC will make it worth the $$$.

2) Some feel that it is not worth changing their existing plans for.

3) Some feel that the member homecoming is nothing more than a member/attendee funded promotional event for the opening of SSR.

If you regret missing the Cruise, and are able to go in May and have the money for it......I'd say go for it!!!

I can tell you we were on the Cruise and wouldn't miss MH. There's a lot of controversy surrounding the cost associated with this event based on what you get, but if you are like me, the more controversy, the more excited I get to go just to prove everyone wrong!!!
