We are a family of four (DS 9 & 6) who are in the planning stages of our trip. We are thinking of June next year. I'm wondering which hotel would be the best for our family. We've previously stayed at the Poly, but due to budget cut backs in our school system (proration),
I may or may not have a job this next school year. So I'm looking for something that will be a little easier on the budget. What do you guys suggest? The pool will be very important to our two boys. Also, disney transportation is a plus. We haven't decided if we will fly or drive down. We are still going to take this vacation no matter what ..........but may have to scale back on other things such as hotel, Circque, etc.
Thanks for all your help. You guys are the best!

My vote would be for the All-Stars Resort. Gives you the convienence of staying on site, and is usually quite a savings over the other on-site resorts. June is a busier time of the year at Disney, and having the advantage of early entry really helps during this time of the year. My kids ( 8 & 10) love the grounds at the All-Star Resorts.

All Stars!!
The boys will love it.
Mighty Ducks Section at the Movies and the
Baseball Section at the Sports both face their own quiet pools.

I'm not sure about the Music, we've never stayed there.
Have fun planning.

and it doesn't matter to you on vs. offsite then I would choose HIFI suites. I have read nothing but good about them! Deinitely something I will try in the future. Another option is "way off" site athe HRH at universal. There is an entertainmnet rate available for 117.50 which is a steal!

If you are going in June of 2002, you could certainly check out the new All-Star, Pop Century, but I would suggest making those ressies right away as the new resorts are notoriously hard to get into and the extra time you have will enable you to save toward your goal.

If I had a choice between All Star or Buena Vista Suites etc., I would choose an off site, suite motel--the cost is about the same but the trade off is that you will have a much bigger room and other amenities such as coffee pot, micowave, frig. Buena Vista Suites gives you a complete hot breakfast. I would also look into other nearby suite motes: Amerisuites offers a nice continental breakfast as does Sierra Suites. If you have a car, it is definitely worth a short drive to get a bigger room and extras as I mentioned. I have stayed on property quite often but the size of the rooms in the lower priced resorts is small. Good luck with your decision and hope you have a great time.

Thanks for everybody's suggestions! I'm not sure what we will do. I've certainly got some time to think about it and keep doing research. All your advice and idea's are helping me. I'm hoping I will still have my job, and I can make a decision based on the looks and amenities of the resort we're interested in and not the cost.

But if I don't, I want to be ready with "plan B". I plan on checking out all the hotels and resorts you have all suggested. I'm going to try crunching some numbers and see what I come out with.

Thanks so much for all of your time ideas!! :D :D
