so I meet up with a few girls from where I used to work. Then that dreaded question comes up...'Where are you going on holiday this year? Orlando AGAIN?!!' then the usual questions of why do you always go there, aren't you fed up of it (err no!), don't you want to go anyway else etc etc etc I am sure you have all come across it those of you that are frequent visitors...
I have got the 'why are you a vegetarian' question down to a fine art:) but what do you say when asked 'why are you going there AGAIN?!'

One of them actually said to me 'why don't you go to New York I've been 4 times'!!!! Well I would but only on a stop over to Orlando:rotfl:

I usually say once you have been you will understand. It is also very addictive :thumbsup2 :rotfl: Plus I usually go on to say that it has everything you want in a holiday: warm weather, shopping, theme parks, disney and more shopping. Beats sitting round a pool all day anyday!! :3dglasses

I also get looks of horror when I say we are going to WDW. People think I am only going to please the kids and shudder at the amount of money wasted on a 'kids' holiday'. Their holidays sound like one long bore-fest to me. I don't try to justify it now, I just say 'you wouldn't understand'.

Aha! I get this alot.

'You're going there AGAIN?!'

'Yes, but it's no different to you sitting on a beach every vacation. Might be different places but it's more or less the same thing :P'

'It's not the same thing. We see different places'

'Yeah, so do I.... Epcot. I cant visit many countries in one day, where else can you do that?!'

The conversation usually ends with either 'fair point' or they just laugh and walk away :rotfl:

I totally agree beach/pool sitting bores me! We did Kos one year and I did every single excursion they had to offer because I was so bored of not having anything to do!

Orlando has everything I want and I miss it so much! I really hope we can go next year! AGAIN!!! lol!

I have the opposite problem. I have been to WDW 4 times and DLP twice but everyone I work with knows that I am Disney (and especially Mickey) obsessed that they think I go there every year!

DH and I had a fantastic mid-week break in Paris for our Silver Wedding anniverary, we visited the Louvre, rode a bateau mouches, walked miles in the parks and visited churches, museums etc. and had a really good time. The first question I was asked when I got home was "How was Disneyland?" :rotfl:

I find myself sighing big time when they all start...! There just isn't one sentance I can find that stops them in their tracks. My sister in law does it to us every year..drives me potty. But its no different to her going to cyprus one year, greece the next, spain the year after..she only sits by the pool and does nothing..Oh other then the year she came with us to Florida and hated it she just wanted to sit by the pool then as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think people either get it or they don't..
I wouldn't dream of saying to anybody 'why you are going AGAIN!' :confused3

Ive been asked this many of times.

My usual response normally underlines the fact I work very hard most of the year, so the last thing I want to do is go somewhere ive never been and have the holiday from hell, when I can go to Orlando, where I always have a good time and not waste my weeks off and money!!! :hippie:

I dread telling friends and family I've booked to go back for this reason. We're going next year and it'll be the same again.
I now just say because we love it and it makes us happy. Can't argue with that really...

I get all of the above as well but when the time comes for me to go on holiday they all say how jealous they are and how they wish they were going to Florida.

My family understand the draw of WDW but my DBFs family don't get it. When we said we were going in October, they questioned us to within an inch of our lives and couldn't work out why we weren't going to Egypt or Greece or Spain. I love a beach holiday but I also love the variety Disney has to offer.
So I didn't even answer their question... I just carried on looking at restaurants!
Xx

I get this a lot, not the " going AGAIN" but the " why are you going, you dont have kids".

I love WDW, always have, and spent many a summer there as a child. DBF has never been so I'm excited to share the Disney fun with him and he is excited to see WDW and what Orlando has to offer.

I usually just tell people that if I've to holiday with thousands of other brits I'd rather do it in Disney than at some Beach holiday location that every tour operater under the sun operates to :rotfl2:

If they want to get picky with me about my holiday choices, I will get snobby about their choice of beach vacation heehee.

I usually laugh it off but it annoys me when I hear that dreaded judgemental tone. Aslong as you have fun who cares :confused3
