If someone you know got their haircut and you don't like it do you just not say anything?

Or do you just go with the "oh, you got your haircut" and leave it at that?

I usually say nothing unless they mention that they hate it first. :bitelip:

But what do you do when they ask you what you think w/o saying what THEY think?!?!? That's when I wish I had :genie:

(Sorry - couldn't resist! I've been looking for an excuse to use some of the new ones.)

People often compliment me on my "creative" hair style. :p

How about unique, interesting, one-of-a-kind or fun?

p.s. I'm almost positive the "creative" comment is a slam but since I'm the artsy-fartsy type, I prefer to believe they REALLY mean that it's simply the height of fashion, almost artistic if you will! :jester:

If it was DH then I would say something. :p

If it was a work colleague/friend I would probably just keep quiet! :duck:

I was afraid you would all say that!

I got my hair cut this weekend and no one at work has said anything!!!! :scared: That can't be good.

Sounds like I should wear a paper bag over my head to work from now on! ;)

tykes, maybe it's a Minnesota thing.

Maybe *we* are just meant to have "creative" haircuts. :P

Heck. Think of the hats we wear half the year...who needs a good hair-do anyway?

This is going to sound like too little too late . . . . but maybe people were just pre-occupied with their own problems/lives and didn't notice? I've guilty of that and then was too embarassed to say anything when I finally woke up out of my fog.

I'm not too worried about it. I don't think it looks horrible, it's incredibly easy to do, which is what I wanted. I didn't expect everyone oohing and aahing over it, it just makes you nervous when you get zero comments. :)

it depends - if it's someone i know casually or someone at work, i don't say anything.

if it's a friend i tell them.

as for your haircut -- the same thing recently happened to me, but my friends outside of work all said they really liked it so i just chose to go with -- people at work are clueless. :p

One of our male OB/GYN's came in with a bad haircut, and I asked him "who cut your hair, the dog?"

Needless to say, he must have a great sense of humor 'cause I'm still working there! :p

Are you talking about me?;) ;) :p I got a new haircut last week and I'm not happy with it. I told my stylist that I wanted something different. She described the haircut to me, but I didn't think it would be so short. It looks a little bit like your haircut in your sig pic, I think it's too short for me. I don't think I look good in short hair.

I keep telling myself that it's only hair and it grows fast; hey I have to console myself somehow. I have gotten some "it's really cute", "it's short" to nothing at all comments. DH says that it's growing on him. I don't really care for the look, but it's very easy to take care of (that's about the only positive though).

I guess I just got a bad one because my husband asked if I was going through a Farrah Fawcett phase!

LOL!!!! Hysterical!!

I don't say anything..:faint:

Maybe they're silent bc you look so good that they're seething with jealousy?:)

You seem comfortable with it so everyone else has probably just been too preoccupied to say anything.;) I'll say it for them:

"You look MAH-Va-LOUS!":)

"Feel anything hit you in the back of your head? THAT was YOUR CHANGE!" :faint:

OH MY GOODNESS!!! I am sitting here at home, and I can't even picture it. THAT IS HORRIBLE..... I sitting here in shock and embarrassment at what I'm reading.

Tamie, I can only speak for me, but I'm apparently dense, or just pre-occupied. PLEASE know that my silence is simply because I didn't notice....... :o :o And that's not a reflection of whether I care or not.... just plain too wrapped up in my own world.
I AM SO SORRY!!! And I promise to look tomorrow (when I get in).
