What do you really, really miss? And, what do you not miss so much?

I have to say that I realy, really, really miss the Original Journey Into Imagination, Horizons, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, being able to see the hot rod on the Backstage Tour, and If You had Wings.

What I really don't miss is 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Alien Encounter, and Captain EO (never have been a fan of Michael Jackson)

A couple of things I would like to see changed would be the Universe of Energy. I am not a fan of Ellen's and would like to see that changed. I would like to see Space Mountain get a face lift. It is a little outdated. Just my opinion though.

HORIZONS!!!!!

I'll never forget telling my mom that the first thing we had to do was go to Horizons... and we go running through Innoventions and I just stopped dead in my tracks. It was a horrific site... I was there just as a wrecking ball was going through the top of it. I actually cried and we stood there with our mouths open for at least 5 minutes. :sad1: And I don't even think Mission Space is that good!! At least not better than Horizons... mmm oranges....

"What is wrong with Disney? You ruined my life by getting rid of these!!":
Horizons (extra mention for good measure)
World of Motion
Dreamflight
The Original Journey into Imagination

"Meh, they were cool but my life isn't significantly worse without them":
20,000 Leagues
Skyway
Mr. Toads Wild Ride
Lion King (Liked a lot but Philharmagic is so much better!)
The ride at the Living Seas

"Good Riddance, you couldn't have left soon enough!":
ALIEN ENCOUNTER (scared the bejeezus out of me)
Captain EO (1st memory as a two year old in 1984... NOT GOOD)

What I REALLY miss:
- Backlot Tour: I could have sworn they took some parts out. I remember
going by the fronts of a lot of "fake" houses they used for tv shows.
Please correct me if I am wrong.

I TOTALLY remember that!!!

I haven't been to WDW in five years but it is really sad that I won't get to see HORIZONS when I go in May :sad2:
I have to say that I already really really really miss it and I don't even know how it feels to be there without it yet.

I really, really, really, really miss the Hunchback of Notre Dame show.

Disney management, please bring back this show!

I miss Alien Encounter. I loved that ride, even though it invariably scared the crap out of me every single time.

Tapestry of Nations parade & Main Street Electrical parade are the two things that I miss the most!

:sad1:

couldnt agree with you more!!!

The only things I really miss are Tapestry of Nations & Dreams parade and River Country.

I really miss The Legend of the Lion King at the MK. I think that is what it was called. I loved that little show. I also wish that they would bring Tapestry of Nations back. I found that incredibly moving!

I really miss Alien Encounter
The original Tiki Room.
Tapestry
and Carosel of Progress ( which is always closed when I go)

I may be the only one, but I miss the Diamond Horseshoe Saloon, before it changed over to a character meet and greet. It was always a great place to take a break from the heat and have ice cream in air conditioning and enjoy live entertainment. When I took my Mom in Sept 2002 to WDW, I think this place was her favorite place.

as for your list, i disagree with you on Alien encounter, Food Rocks, World of Motion and Dream Flight

I've been listening to the celebration CD and the song Magic Journey is haunting me. Is it from a 3-D movie? If so, I'd like to see the movie again, and I do miss the Original Journey into Imagination, although I do like the present version more than the one the preceded it.

No fan of Captain EO here.

Bobbi :flower:

I miss Superstar Television! That was so great! I also miss the original show at the Sound Stage with Chevy Chase & Martin Short. Wish they would bring them both back!

I miss Hunchback of Notredame, but what I miss most is the time when I was a kid, and everything seemed bigger, nicer and more magical. I miss the time when Disneyworld was only the Magic Kingdom. I miss Circus World...
