What do you order at Coral Reef?

We were there in Dec...I order the lobster bisque soup...it was very good. Not alot of lobster though. DF had the ceasar salad...it was good but I believe it was whole leaves of romaine not cut up. I had the shrimp pasta...I hated this and I eat everything. It was in an asian sauce that was way too salty (and I love salt) and they put a ton of celery. DF had the steak...he loved it. DS had the kids mac and cheese.

We had the chocolate wave for dessert and it was great!

I just warn everyone, do not get the pasta!

Hated the Coral Reef. The only thing that was good was the bisque. The atmosphere was nice the food was very disappointing. I would skip it.

I just ate lunch there last Wednesday. Two of us had the strip steak, which was good; the other two had the tilapia, which they said was very good. In the past I've had the Mahi-mahi, which I've always loved. As an appetizer, I always get the lobster soup, excellent. DS had the cauliflower soup, which he said was just OK. Although I love the chocolate wave for dessert, this last time it was a little different-no more ice cream (didn't it used to have ice cream with it?)-just a chocolate muffin thing with a delicious liquid filling and 3 very alcoholic cherries.

Count me in as another one who was really disappointed in Coral Reef. It was my second worst meal at WDW (the worst - by far - was Hollywood & Vine :scared: ) DH didn't care for it either. He had the tuna and I had the NY Strip Steak. The lobster bisque was ok and DH did really enjoy his Chocolate wave (I can't remember what I had for dessert :confused3 )

When we were last there in 2005, my DH and I had the Lobster Bisque for an appetizer, for the main entree we had the Terriaki glazed Swordfish, this was by far the best swordfish I have ever had unfortunately I see they took this off their menu  , and then for dessert I had the Chocolate Wave while my DH opted to have a beer...the Chocolate Wave was soooo yummy, I hope by the time we get back there in June they bring back the ice cream :goodvibes .

During our 2003 trip, DH had the Mahi-Mahi and I had the NY Strip Steak. The food was just okay! Actually we were quite disappointed with the Coral Reef and haven't returned since. But, we are going to give it another try during our September trip. Considering we have free dining, I won't be as annoyed if we are disappointed again :)

Had the Lobster Bisque and the Chicken Caeser Salad and both were great! Especially the Lobster Bisque! :goodvibes

Another vote for the lobster bisque soup. DH and one of the ds had the mahi mahi. This time I did something different and ordered the vegetarian option. It was not good and there was way, way too many lentils in it and it was way too saucy. The butterscotch creme brule was really good.We have a lunch reservation this time, much cheaper. I am probably going to get the ceasar salad with scallops.

We have eaten at Coral Reef each of my last 3 visits - it's a staple for us now.

Great food, Great atmosphere, Great Service.

What we've had that was yummy ~~
Grilled NY Strip
Grilled Chicken Breast
Grilled Mahi Mahi
Chocolate Wave - yum!

Last week I ordered the lobster bisque and it was YUMMY!!!!! I also had the Mahi Mahi and it was soooo good but dh had the tuna and it was not good:eek: . Dh had the choc wave and that was yummy!

We ate there last July and I could have done without it. DH had lobster bisque and I had a ceasar salad; both really good. DH had mahi mahi, which was great. I made the mistake getting some sort of steak....burned....

I'm not a seafood sort of gal so this was a problem for me. When we started making our ressies for this year DH said to leave it off......

We had a few drinks here though and they are REALLY good. Reef runner and some sort of martini I think..

When we went in December, I had the crab claws. They were good, nice and light really. For my entree, I had the blackened catfish and it was spiced/salty to the extreme. I will eat anything and am rarely disappointed, but this was bad. Then for dessert, the pineapple cheesecake thing..YUMMMOOOO!!!

We liked it, would go again for sure, but I do warn everyone about the catfish dish.

We ate there during o ur last vacation, not our favorite meal but not the worst either. I had the surf & turk app (something like that grilled shrimp & steak kabob) yuk, mahi mahi for dinner-awesome and citrus creme brulee for dessert-okay. Al had the lobster soup-didn't care for it, NY Strip-good and I can't remember for dessert but he did like it. We'll try other places before going back.

I had the lobster bisque, which was really good. The entree was the Ahi Tuna, medium rare. Fantastic!! The Chocolate wave was the best dessert of our trip. The wine recommendation for the entree was terrific, as well.

What is the Bisque like? I don't like Clam Chowder, so will I not like this?
