When I first started WW I bought some Nutella (chocolate hazelnut spread) I bought it figuring I would count my POINTS when I did eat it. I then found out that I would sneak in a big huge spoonfull everynight. So I have decided not to buy it anymore since I can't control myself. :p On Thursday I bought a HUGE container of peanuts with some sort of sweet shell. Between me and DH we have eaten half of it. I kept sneaking a little handfull every now and then and then realized I am eating so much and not counting it. I will not buy those yummy peanuts anymore.
What foods do you NOT buy beacause you know you can't resist having enough to stay on plan? :sunny:

I'm maintaining my loss now and try not to deny myself anything, but I can no longer buy Oreos. OMG I love them--and of course not just the regular Oreos, I just have to have the Doublestuff! There's no way I could eat just one to satisfy a craving--the bag would be gone in a day and I'd be reeling from the sugar shock!:hyper:

Big bags of potato chips- when DS wants some I buy the single-serving size bags because me + open bag of chips = 1 guilty conscience!:hyper:

For me it has to be ice cream and chocolate.

Definitely chocolate!! It is so hard to resist!! :p

Cookies, any kind are a downfall for me. Like the chips commercial, I can't just eat one:rolleyes: .

For me it is any kind of ice cream and I don't buy my favorite bread anymore. If I keep plain old white in the house I am not even tempted to eat any.

I can't think of anything that I don't buy anymore. My Dh and DD's don't have weight problems, so IMHO it would be very unfair of me to deny them any of the things that they enjoy. So far keeping junk food in the house has not been an issue for me. If I feel like having a cookie, or some chocolate, I have some. Although now I eat them in moderation :)

NUTS! Sooooo easy for me to overdo them. Sometimes I'll open the package and divide them into 1 oz each snack bags. That USUALLY helps, but I still only buy them every other week.

For me, it's chips (salty crunchie) my dh finally agreed not to have ANY in the house. Bless his heart. That's support. So far the only thing I'll got "crazy" over is cereal when I have a "break down" of emotions. I'm trying to get all the "sugar" crude out of the house, because I finally found a low carb one DH will eat.

One trick I learned though, just in case you might be interested... when I get a "craving" whether it be, emotionally eating - I walk away, and have a little chat with myself. Breaking that momentum of thought process seems to get me back on track of WHY am I trying to be healthy, and not eating the crud. Hope it works for you!

I can no longer buy the swedish fish, you know the chewy candy fishes. I bought a box a few weeks ago and I would eat a small handful at a time a couple times a day!! Everthing else I have been very good with, but not those darn fish.
I will never ever buy another box again. If I crave them again I will just buy a small package.
I still crave chocolate once in awhile, but I bought the Byers Low Carb chocolate ice cream and that really helps with the chocolate cravings.

Nuts are my downfall, too. I love chocolate but I can control it, but nuts are another matter. If they are in the house, I have a little handful here and a little handful there until I have had LOTS! (I don't know why, because nothing else does it to me like that! We do keep some dry roast no salt peanuts for my husband (who is the size of your pinkie!) but as long as they are not within sight I am ok.)

All foods containing any amount of sugar or flour. Beyond that, anything goes :)

Jellied candies - i.e. swedish fish, raspberries, gummies, jelly fruit, jellybelly - anything like that. I absolutely can not stop. Sugar is my worst nightmare. :(

Little Debbie Swiss Cake Rolls and Little Debbie Nutty Bars ..... I'd sit and eat the whole box if I could.

glad I read this thread AFTER dinner :)

I CANNOT buy small single-size candy bars. I tell myself I'm buying for DDs and DHs packed lunches and then I eat them! I would splurge on a weekend after I figured the day was shot anyhow! Oh gosh, I really can't buy them for a really really long time!

I hope I'm cured before halloween!!

Ruffles potato chips. I can have any other kind in the house and it doesn't bother me, but Ruffles??? YUM YUM! I am not a big cookie eater, so I buy them tons of cookies. I buy Doritos and Lays chips, because I really don't like them. I really try hard not to shortchange the family from what they like just because I can't eat what i want to anymore.

doritos or chips. I just don't buy a large bag I would not stop until it was gone - well maybe it would take a day but gone - and then I would say - why - why - why.....
so better just not to even have around!

Chips! It's the type of snack where you can't just have one and before you know it, the bag is gone.
