What do you mean we’re DRIVING from CA to WDW??? With 4 kids!!!!

Last I talked to you, a Disney cruise was possibly in the mix?

Yes a Disney Cruise is now a big possibility. So instead of heading East we might be heading North to Alaska!!! My DH is driving me crazy with his not being able to make a decision on which one we are going to do! But we may now also have to cancel the trip completely because we just found out that the company he works for is running out of work and we really have to decide if we can justify spending the money on the trip when we won't have his income coming in. But with him being off it is the best time for us to take a trip. So we'll see what happens over the next few weeks.

Soooo...... Checking in from the HOSPITAL today!!! Baby Jeffrey Aaron Jr. Arrived today at 8:18 am weighing 7 lbs 5 oz. And is 20 3/4 inches long. Both of us are doing great and should be going home tomorrow!! I will post pictures once I'm home but if your my friend on FB you can get a sneak peek now!! Thank you all for the good wishes because we did have a very fast delivery (right around 2 hours, not quite pain free through. :rotfl:) I did have a completely natural delivery with no drugs which is how I prefer to do it.

D I know what your talking about too!!! :rotfl2:
Congratulations!! I'm so glad to hear it went okay

Here's a couple pictures of the newest member of our family.

Jeffrey Aaron Jr. getting ready to come home from the hospital.

Sarah getting to hold her baby brother for the first time.

Congratulations!! He is so adorable!! How tall are Jeremy, Sarah and James? I do remember that you mentioned that Jeremy loves the roller coasters. He would like Expedition Everest and their Space Mountain. He'd also like Test Track too.

Thank you!! I was only in the hospital for about 20 - 30 mins before he arrived!! They didn't even have me admitted yet!! :rotfl2:

Thanks!! We do think he's pretty cute. :lovestruc

Jeremy is about 44", Sarah is just over 40" and James is about 37". Jeremy is already excited about getting to try out some new roller coasters and so is Sarah. She has been leery about riding them until this past summer when we went to Gilroy Gardens (a local theme park) that has a ride similar to Big Thunder but a lot shorter and slower. Now she can't wait to try Big Thunder again along with all the other's she makes the height requirement for. James on the other hand isn't a very big roller coaster fan. He hated Gadget's Go Coaster at Disneyland and still says how much he didn't like it. :rotfl: Poor kid I think we tramutized him.

Wow! I missed the cruise part - that would be exciting! I'm sorry to hear about the possibility of your DH losing work. I hope it all works out.

I know lots of decisions and changes may be happening about where we are going to go on vacation. :rotfl2: Unfortunately that's the nature of being in construction. Right now he's working on the new 49ers Stadium but his company only has about a month left of work there and then a few small jobs so who knows what's going to happen. But him being out of work means it's easier to take off on vacation. (and then I may be willing to take the kids out of school to go.) And thankfully money is not an issue on if we can go or not. I just have to decide if we can justify spending the money since both trips are pretty expensive for a family of 6.

So I realized I haven't shared how Jeremy did on his Pinewood Derby. He won all of his heats for his Tiger Den and made it to the finals!!! He was the only Tiger to make it that far!! He was so excited when he realized he won a trophy for fastest car in his Den!! He didn't get anything once he got to the finals but he did win one heat racing against the older kids!! He couldn't have been happier (so was Daddy!!)

I also have to share a picture of sweet baby Jeffrey from the other night. :lovestruc It was taken at 2 am and he figured it was party time and not sleep time!! :dance3:

Well, it's good that budget isn't a concern. I'm sure they'll get another contract. With the cruise you wouldn't have as far to drive for sure - or you could do he repo from Calif. and just fly back one way - we did that one a couple of years ago - still lots to see and lots of fun, but not Alaska unless you make it a BTB.

That's great that Jeremy did so good in the pinewood derby! Pretty exciting for such a little guy!:cool1:

Very cute pic of Jeffrey - little stinker! Hopefully he will get his nights and days figured out soon. :goodvibes

We're hoping for more work soon but who knows. We save for trips and we keep being told we should buy a house and we need to move into a bigger place (we live in a 2 bedroom condo, that we bought) but our response is if we do that we would not be able to afford the vacations we do because our mortgage payment would almost triple what we pay now. And we really do value our family time while we are on those vacations. A repo cruise does sound like a lot of fun but I have a feeling that the airfare would still be a killer for us. And by going to Alaska we'd be able to go spend a few days with my brother in Washington and I know the kids would love to spend time with their cousins for a few days too (plus I'd get to go out with my sister in law who is always fun to be around. :cool1:)

It was very exciting for him. Especially since we had prepared him that he probably wouldn't win anything since it was our first derby.

Thanks!! He is a little stinker at times. He's actually started sleeping more at night the last couple days and less during the day so I'm good with that. Last night he actually surprised me and slept for 5 hours straight!!!! :scared1: I will say thought I did wake up in some major pain!!!

Congratulations to Jeremy! I think that's awesome!

And little Jeffrey is adorable - I just love that photo of him. Melt my heart!

I hope everything is resolved quickly with your DH's job.. and your trip remains intact.

Jeremy wasn't expecting to get anything and then to win his Den was awesome!! He even beat one of his best friends who's older brother's have been doing this for a few years. Jeremy didn't gloat about it and his friend rooted for him when it came time to race the bigger kids.

Thanks!! He is a cutie and I can't believe he's 17 days old today!!

Oh we'll be taking a trip it's just a matter of which trip we do. May tone it down even more and do a cruise but not a Disney one. We'll see though.

So the last couple weekends have been pretty busy for us. My mom went home on February 3 and it was just the kids and I during the day this last week!! Now that was quite interesting getting all of us out the door on time!! We did it and survived!! This next week should be easier and calmer I hope!! As for the busy weekends we were celebrating a special little boy's 7th Birthday!!! Where has the time gone!!!

Jeremy 1 day old:

Jeremy 3 years old:

Jeremy 4 years old:

Jeremy 6 years old:

Jeremy 7 years old!!!!

As I was going through all these pictures it made me cry. Seems like yesterday that Jeremy made DH and I parent's for the first time after some heartbreaks along the way and thoughts that we would never have kids. Hope you all enjoyed Jeremy through the years. As DH tells me he'll be graduating High School before we know it!! :scared1:

I will hopefully have an update on the trip soon (a trip is still going to happen we just haven't figured out which one we are going to do now.)

Loved watching Jeremy grow up... Such a sweet baby and such a handsome boy! I hope he had a wonderful birthday.

I know how you feel - I post pictures like this every time the girls have a birthday, I look at pictures and time seems to stand still... Even now, I look at them, and they are still my babies - time will never change that. (((Hugs Momma)))

Thank you! He did have a great birthday weekend. Got to open his presents on Friday (lego's and a star war's puzzle), Jeff took him to see the Lego Movie on Saturday (they both really enjoyed it), and then we took him to lunch at Red Robin on Sunday where Jeff's cousin met us. The kids love getting to see her and she is always happy to see them too.

I told Jeremy no matter how old he get's he'll always be my baby. His response was "I'm not a baby." Then said "what about when I get older and you can't pick me up anymore?" I told him it doesn't matter he'll always be our little boy. He just shook his head like I was crazy!! :dance3:

Happy Late Birthday Jeremy!! What did he do for his birthday other than what you mentioned above?

Congrats on the derby win! Sweet trip down memory lane. Happy Birthday, Jeremy!

Happy Late Birthday Jeremy!! What did he do for his birthday other than what you mentioned above?

We had his party with some family and friends on Feb 1 since my dad had come down to get my mom and Jeremy really wanted Grandpa there. Then Sunday we went to my Aunt's for the Superbowl and celebrated again with other family that couldn't make the party. On his actual birthday, February 7, he got to open his gifts from us, February 8 Jeff took him to see the Lego movie and then we did a birthday lunch on February 9. Now the lucky boy gets to go to Benihana's on Sunday for another birthday dinner!! He's looking forward to that one now too.

Congrats on the derby win! Sweet trip down memory lane. Happy Birthday, Jeremy!

Thank you! It was fun going through pictures but sad at the same time.

Awwwe, it was so fun to see your boy growing through all his birthdays! :thumbsup2 Sounds like a busy week - hope things start to settle into a routine for you Sandra!

Thank you Tammie!! Things should start to slow down next week now that Valentine's is over (being room parent does keep you busy!!) I thought I had a car pool set up for drop off/pick ups but that fell threw. The person I was going to do it with decided that it was just too hard to get 4 kids to school when all they had to do was drive them. So oh well now to find someone else to work with. I was really trying to make it so all I had to do was get the kids ready to go and I wouldn't have to go out until pick ups but it didn't work out. Now to see who else can help me out with it. I don't mind doing pick ups, it's just the drop off that is difficult for me especially on the nights that the baby keeps me up until 2 - 3 in the morning.

Just stopping by! I love the latest picture you posted of Jeffrey on FB, he is just a doll!

I hope you are doing well and everything is falling into a routine for you. :)

Oh goodness! It would be hard getting all 4 ready and out the door early. I am pretty overwhelmed when I an babysitting all 4 by myself here, and Faith is not a newborn. I hope you find someone to help.
