Just wanted to chime in and say that I also have 4 kids and my dear husband and I drove from Oregon to WDW so I am so excited for you. best trip of our lives so far.
Haha. I have been wanting to go to WDW since 2010 (my last trip). I hope I don't miss my friends too much

I can't believe it is already May (basically) and your trip is so close!! I'm glad you were able to do a "test drive" so to speak with everyone in the car. It sounds like things went well - Jeffrey will just need to build up his stamina for car rides. By the time you guys get home he will be a pro!!
Since I've only ever been to Disneyland - I love reading about all the restaurants and such that you are making reservations at - can't wait to see how it all turns out.
Have a great week!!
So as I mentioned above we have made a HUGE change to our trip!!! We are NO longer going to WDW!!!!Yes all that planning down the drain so to speak.
But in other news we are still going on vacation and still going to a Disney park!!!
We have decided that we want to wait until Baby Jeffrey is a few years older before we try the cross country drive. At least if he's older then we can find ways to entertain him easier.
So our new plans are to go to Disneyland from June 14 - June 22 getting 5 day park hoppers and upgrading those park hoppers to ANNUAL PASSES!!!!! So while I'm sad that we're not going to get to do all the fun things I had planned at WDW, we are now going to get to do some of them and probably more at Disneyland!!! We're also thinking of going to Knott's Berry Farm but I first need to see if it's going to be cheaper to upgrade our Great America passes to the next level that includes Knott's or see if it'll be cheaper to just buy a day pass for there.
That is a HUGE change... Gulp. But I totally understand, I really admired your bravery for doing that, but I would honestly do the same thing.
It sounds like a GREAT trip now, and an enjoyable trip - you will all have so much FUN!
D~
I'm disappointed that we won't be seeing you after all. But I totally understand your decisionI think you will have a great time at DLR, too! Maybe you can take a day to go to the beach! We love Huntington.

So bummed we won't be sharing a SWW experience. But I know you will get so much more out of your AP and stay at Disneyland. Hopefully we will make it out there to you in 2015.
I am sorry there isn't a cross country drive in your future but I am thrilled for the change!
Sandra- I know you guys will have a great trip at DLR. And getting annual passes again! Do you get the premium or the one with blackout days?
We are going over July 4 and trying to decide if we should get passes. I think our trips would be during blackout times, so would have to go with the premium.
I'm glad Sarah will still get her princesses, and Yay for the short (comparitively) car ride.
Thanks Jen!! We are looking forward to it!! We get the premium (the one with no blackouts). The reason being is our normal trip is over Christmas break so we want to make sure we can use it that trip too. Plus now that the kids are in school (not that I wouldn't pull them out because I will) most of our trips will also be during school breaks or weekend trips.
I feel the same way about taking kids out of school. As long as they are doing well, it can be worth it. Billy will miss the first month of first grade this year for a trip. He gets the first 3 days of school, then we are gone. Don't know how the district will feel about that, but that is life.
Cool that your Dad will meet you there. Maybe you could surprise the kids and have him walk up to them in the park.
Yay for your parents joining you! It's always good to make those memories - your kids will be so excited! (I'll bet your parents will be, too )
